She asked me to confirm my name, when I ask who was calling she called me a stupid lady so I hung up.
Scam call.
Didn’t answer. They left voicemail message saying PayPal account will be debited. If not you, press 1 to talk to someone.
Haha… I don’t have PayPal.
The caller did not speak English at all, which raised my suspicions that this was likely a scam call.
I unequivocally believe this was a scam call as I was almost tricked into giving them information. The person spoke in Chinese, and when I mentioned that I would report their activities, they became very aggressive towards me.
The caller rang twice but didn’t leave a message. After quickly doing a reverse phone lookup, I found several reports about this number which helped me. I appreciate those who share their experiences here. I've since blocked and deleted this number. This occurred on 06/09/2024 at 2:30 PM AEST.
I looked up this caller after they tried to reach me and I'm thankful I missed the call. This number is definitely a scammer. I'm really impressed with the reverse lookup service for helping me identify this.

I did not answer the call, and after checking online, it is confirmed that this number is definitely associated with scams.
Missed call 31/08/24, did not return call, BLOCKED AND DELETED.

I received a scam call that pretended to be from my bank. I was warned to not respond, as it seems to be from scammers of Indian origin.
Scam call.
I answered a call that turned out to be a recorded message claiming to be from immigration, stating that there is an issue with my visa. I found this concerning as I do not possess a visa, being an Australian citizen. It was clearly a scam message encouraging me to press a number for further information.
They called but hung up straight away.
Didn't recognise the number so didn't answer and checking online it's definitely a scammer.
I answered a call from someone claiming to be Olivia from The Commonwealth Bank, discussing a transaction amounting to $1,800. The conversation seemed off, so I chose to hang up.

After a brief delay in connecting, I heard a recorded message from a female voice stating that my Visa account had been compromised. It claimed there was a $300+ charge on eBay and a foreign transfer of over $1,000. Be cautious; this is likely a scam.

Scam caller. Posing as bank.
Automated recording, apparently from CBA claiming someone was charging $1800 on my bank card and I needed to press a number to approve or another one to reject.
The call started with an automated message claiming to be "Olivia from the CBA" addressing a fraudulent transaction. However, when a female representative came on the line and started asking questions, the entire interaction began to feel suspiciously like a scam.
A woman called claiming to be from the technical department of Telstra. She informed me that my internet connection and IP address were showing significant scam activity. However, I do not use Telstra for my internet service at all!
Scam I don't answer any calls beginning with a 03 because I don't know anyone from 03 area code. Very short ring tone. Dodgey message left.
My phone automatically blocked this call, assuming it is a scam. Less than an hour ago my phone blocked another phone number that was almost exactly the same as this one. One digit of the phone number is different. What a coincidence:-/
My phone blocked the call but still sent a voicemail. In the voicemail, I couldn't make out any clear speech, but the background noise made it sound like a call center. I suspect this is a scam.
A caller, a male with an Indian accent, claimed to be from CBA (Commonwealth Bank of Australia) notifying me of an alleged fraudulent transaction on my account. I hung up and contacted CBA, who confirmed there were no such transactions as described and that it was a scam call.

Scam. Phone call and automated voice message purporting to be from PayPal. Stated a request had been received for payment $299.99 and would automatically be paid unless I pressed 1 to cancel.
This call was definitely a scam. When I answered, it took a while to connect, and then a recording came on claiming to be from Commonwealth Bank. It stated that $1800 had been attempted to be charged to my card, and prompted me to press 1 to accept or 2 to reject the payment. Since I only have $7.40 in that account, I decided it was best to just hang up.
I received a call yesterday from someone identifying herself as “Brenda from ANZ" using the number (03) 9018 6409. I do not bank with ANZ, which raises my suspicions.
