Didn't answer, and surprise, surprise—no voicemail. What are these callers even playing at?
Number called two days ago, no message was left. After reading other people's reports, I would say definitely a scammer. Got call today from similar number, ending in 4868 instead of 4888.
Asked if they were speaking to.., and they knew my first name. Wanted to know if I was trying to buy an iPhone 15 on Amazon and then started on something about a transaction. Hung up.40 mins later received a call on 03 7049 4869. Ignored and blocked.
Called 5 mins ago saying they were CBA.
Claimed to be Telstra offering a 30% discount.
Claimed they were from my Bank, had my name and email address.
Claimed they were from Amazon - scam.
Definitely a scam…
Currently overseas. Took call 2nd time it rang. Maybe a family illness? Said she was from Services Australia. Asked her if she was calling about my mother or brother (both in care). Wouldn't verify. Hung up. Telstra got onto it & charged me $10 for taking call.
Told me they were from Amazon. Had my full name. Definitely weren’t from Amazon, absolutely spam callers.
Told me he was from Australian Cyber Security and my Hotmail account had been hacked and used for crimes.
The number seems suspicious according to other phone lookup websites. I wouldn't trust it.
When I contacted the caller back, I found that the phone was switched off, or unable to be answered, which raised my suspicions.
I received a robotic scam call that falsely informed me of a suspicious transaction and urged me to call back to supposedly prevent any issues.
Rang but left no message tried to call back 3 times but comes up call failed.
Someone identified themselves as "Nathan from Telstra" and claimed that my IP address has been changed from private to public. However, Telstra's official website lists similar calls as a known scam.
I answered the phone and received an automated message stating it was from ANZ Bank regarding a payment of $1200. Since I am not an ANZ Bank customer, I suspect this call was made by scammers.

Asian sounding voice pretending to Federal Police. Asked for a name then hung up.
