A scammer claimed to be from "The NBN" and told me they had detected an issue with my modem. The conversation included a lot of nonsensical information, which led me to believe it was a scam.
The caller informed me that my phone service would be cut off, which sounded like a scam to me. I considered this an obvious time-waster, so I hung up and subsequently blocked the number.
Called and left a voicemail. Call said it came from victoria but the caller spoke chinese so probably spoofing an australian number from an overseas call centre. Instantly blocked.
The call that came through instructed me to contact another number for unspecified reasons. I'm reporting this as a scam call as it seemed suspicious.
Caller was a scam - proposing to be from some consulting firm, calling childs new phone number.
Its a scam. An automated message (red flag) saying announcing they are from a phone company (which I don't have a phone number with, also a red flag) telling me there is "an abnormal situation with your phone" (also a red flag, no telecommunications company calls to tell you that). I didn't bother listening to the rest because they we're wasting my time and I don't have patience or tolerance with scum bag criminals and crooks. Hang up on them. Block the number. Nice try morons.
When I answered, the automated message informed me that I was caller number 28 and asked me to hold. They keep calling me over and over again; it's quite annoying.
I received two calls from this number, and they left a voicemail that was a robotic message stating, "Please call customer service staff," without revealing the company's identity.
Rang twice no message and won’t pick up returned call.
I received yet another one of those mysterious interstate calls, which I recommend you avoid answering.
I received an automated voice message claiming there were irregularities with my Visa card. It mentioned that this is my last chance to respond and provided multiple language options, which sounds suspiciously like a scam attempt.
The caller identified themselves as eBay and mentioned a charge that would be made to my account, which does not exist.
I attempted to return the call twice and found myself on hold for over 10 minutes each time, only to be disconnected both occasions. This is highly frustrating.
I received a call stating that my phone number would be deactivated in just two hours. This alarmingly short notice is very suspicious and suggests it may be a scam.
I received a call from this number, but they didn't leave any message. Based on the lack of communication, I believe it may be spam.
