I experienced the same situation. The caller left a message in both English and Mandarin, but it seemed quite vague and untrustworthy.
I received a call stating that my phone service would be interrupted for 2 hours due to unusual activity on my account. They asked me to press 1 for English or 2 for Chinese. I pressed 1 but said nothing, and the operator continued saying "hello" in both languages several times until they finally hung up.
This is a scam call. The caller plays a recording pretending to be from a phone company, threatening to cut off your service unless you press a button to speak with someone. However, it's a trick to make you pay them money once you press that button. Please do not interact with this call!
I didn't answer the call, but the voicemail claimed to be from Telstra and stated that my service would be cut off. This is clearly a spam call, as I'm not even a Telstra customer, and it seems like they frequently misuse this tactic.
Scam.
I received a voicemail that I am certain is a scam. The message claimed to be from “Telstra telecommunications” and warned that my phone would soon be out of service. They repeated the same message in Chinese, which seemed unprofessional and suspicious.
I missed a call from this number, and they left a voicemail in Mandarin, which I do not understand. I'm unsure of the message they were trying to convey.
Called around 1 pm, I didn't answer. No message left.
This call is likely a scam. They left a voicemail saying my phone service would be interrupted for two hours and instructed me to press 1 for customer service in English, followed by a message in another language that I believe was Chinese. I recommend deleting the message and blocking this number.
I received a call from this number and they quickly hung up. When I called back, I was met with a recorded message saying, "Welcome to DNFI Solutions." This appeared to be an unsolicited call, so I have chosen to block them.
This number called me but hung up immediately after I picked up. They did not leave a message.
The caller rang but hung up without speaking. When I called the number back, I was greeted with a message saying that their voicemail box was full.
Just called me I didn’t answer and they left a voice message they pressed 1 for Chinese lol and then in English it tried to say that my Telstra phone was going to get disconnected and it’s an emergency.
Scammer number.
Exactly same recorded message as earlier report - Received a voice recording from Commonwealth Bank regarding a withdrawal of $1,800 from my account. "Press 1 to confirm transaction". I don't have a bank account with Commonwealth Bank.
Scam.
Received a voice recording from Commonwealth Bank regarding a withdrawal of $1,800 from my account. "Press 1 to confirm transaction". I don't have a bank account with Commonwealth Bank. Dreadful human beings trying to scam people before Christmas.
The caller contacted me but then hung up without leaving a message.
