Got the same female from Telstra tonight sat the 9th of march 2024 in melbourne.
I received a recorded call from a female voice claiming to be from Telstra. She said, "Hello Telstra, your phone is behaving abnormally, and your account will be terminated." This is clearly a typical scam call designed to create panic.
The nature of this call mirrors experiences shared in reports dated January 19, 2024.
An AI-generated voice with an American accent called, stating that it was from Telstra.
Received a call from a representative claiming to be from a phone company, stating that my phone's functionality was corrupt and that they would be terminating my contract if I did not respond immediately.
I had this number call today with an automated message telling me someone had tried to make a large purchase using my ANZ account and to stay on the line if it wasn't me. Sounded like a scam straight away.

I received a call from an unknown number that didn’t leave any message. I believe it’s best to report and block this number, then delete it.
Called me at 10:30 am on a Saturday. This is a fake number as Melbourne numbers don’t start with a ‘7’.

A female caller contacted me, claiming she was checking on MasterCard transactions. This is a known scam, so please be cautious.
Not impressed when this caller woke me at 7.30 am. Of course I do not answer any unknown numbers.
The call claimed I needed to verify a recent payment made by credit card. However, before I could respond, I was placed on hold. After enduring six minutes of waiting, the line cut off without any communication. This repeated experience leads me to believe it is a probable scam.
Scam caller. Claiming to be eBay (lol). I answered and elected to choose "number 9". Human actually answered. I stated to never call again, because I work for *phone company name* and he panicked and stumbled when I said I can track this number as *we* own it.
03 7047 6938 scam.
I received my second scam call within a two-hour period, but I didn’t answer either of them and no messages were left. I've blocked and deleted this number as a precaution.
I received a call from this number (03 7047 6938) shortly after missing a call from (0488 878 798). They are both scams! Please do not engage with either number.

I received a call from this number featuring a recorded female voice speaking in an American accent. The message began with, "Hello Telstra, your phone is behaving abnormally and your account will be terminated..." At that point, I chose to hang up, and I plan to delete and block the number as soon as I've finished sharing this warning.
