The call sounded highly automated and was undoubtedly a scam. The caller claimed to be contacting me from Melbourne. It is frustrating that telecommunications companies can't seem to do much about stopping these fraudulent calls!
I received a scam call where the caller spoke in Mandarin, claiming to be from the Chinese embassy and stating that they had an important file that required my attention. It felt suspicious, so I hung up right away.
I missed a call from this number, but they left a voicemail. The voicemail was left by a man who seemed to know a fake name I had used on one of my social media accounts. Be cautious and avoid sharing your real name publicly.
I received multiple calls from this number at 7 AM and again at 6 PM. Each time, they kept me on the line without any clear purpose. It’s frustrating that Australia is known for distributing SIM cards and phone numbers without adequate identification, which causes confusion and unwanted calls like this.
This caller is nothing but a disgraceful scammer. They did not leave a message, and I find it disrespectful that they chose to call on Anzac Day. Respect for such significant days is necessary!
This number calls and disconnects after just three seconds. When I tried calling back, it rang for a long time, and I heard a message stating that the call was in a queue. It appears that this is a scam operation.
This number called me two days in a row and only left a voicemail with my surname. It felt suspicious and untrustworthy.
This number keeps calling me but never leaves a voicemail. When I called back, I was put on hold and the caller refused to identify themselves.
This caller was trying to sell solar panels and even addressed me by my last name. When I asked where they obtained my phone number, they claimed it was from the general census. I am highly skeptical since that kind of data should be private, suggesting they may not be truthful or there's something suspicious going on.
I am becoming increasingly frustrated with the daily calls from scammers. It seems like every single day I receive a call, and I'm tired of these criminals invading my phone.
I answered the call, but they hung up on me within seconds. When I called back, I was met with just hold music, which feels very scammy. I have reported this number to ‘Spam Reporting Australia’ at 0429 999 888.
This call was from a random person. It's best to ignore and not engage with them.
As soon as I answered the call, the caller hung up without saying anything. They did not leave any message behind.
This number has called me multiple times—including today, February 15th, February 25th, and January 16th—always after work hours. The exception was the call on February 25th. My phone identified the number as suspected spam, so I did not answer and blocked the number today. These calls have been very annoying.
I don’t know what they want. I get a call from this number every week, blocked now!
This caller seemed to know my name and tried to pressure me into installing solar panels. I immediately hung up when I said I wasn't interested. It felt like a typical scam operation.
Someone called looking for an individual by name. They did not apologize for the wrong number and hung up immediately without any further communication. This behavior is unprofessional and concerning.
The caller asked me if my home has solar panels and knew my full name, but I have no idea how they obtained my personal information. This raises serious concerns about privacy.
I didn't recognize the caller's number, so I chose not to answer. They didn’t leave a message, and after checking it here, it appears to be a scammer trying to reach out to unsuspecting individuals.
I received a voice recording claiming they are "calling from the Australian Research Centre." This seems suspicious and may not be legitimate.
This number has been calling me at least once a month for the past six months. Each time I explain that we already have solar energy and request to be removed from their list. Clearly, they have not complied, so I have now blocked the number.
After waiting for voice mails that never came, I decided to check this number on Reverse AU and found that many other people have reported being bothered by this caller. I'm grateful for the community providing warnings about this nuisance.
I missed the call, but it went to voicemail. I could hear someone saying "hello" repeatedly, trying to get a response from me, but they waited silently for a long time. There was background noise indicating other conversations happening, which suggests they might not have realized they reached my voicemail.
I received two calls from this number, but no voice messages were left either time.
I received a call on my mobile from this number. Being tech-savvy, I recognize that many call centers use auto-dialing systems with answering machine detection (AMD). To avoid connecting with them, I answered and remained silent. As expected, the call disconnected within about five seconds. I immediately blocked this annoying contact number on my mobile phone.
Someone with an Indian accent named Roger called from the number (03) 7046 6886, said his name, then hung up. I have blocked this number.
I’ve experienced trouble connecting to this number; it seems to leave automated messages without resolution. The calls seem to loop back on themselves, potentially keeping you on the line for an hour or more without connecting to a real representative.
I received a phone call from this number, and the caller left a message. They knew my name, which I found concerning. I chose not to return the call, and since then, they haven't called again.
I was offered rebates for solar panels in Victoria. When I stated that I no longer lived in Victoria, the caller abruptly hung up. This behavior suggests they are scammers.
I got the same call to they are scammers.
Today, a number 03 7046 6886 called me, with a very strong Indian accent, said he is from government. But because of his accent, I don't quite follow what he is talking about. I believe he is a fraudster. DON'T Share your personal information and anything. BE CAREFUL.
Solar Panel Scammer.
