The caller did not leave any voicemail, which makes me suspect this number might be spam or a scam.
Contacted by this number, claiming they were from eBay customer support, and alerting me that someone had purchased a $500 gift card. They asked if I wanted to authorise or block, when I said block, they tried to get me to download an app called Anydesk, which is a legitimate remote access application. I informed them that I believed it to be a scam and that I was reporting it to ScamWatch.
The caller claimed to be from my visa company talking about a fraudulent payment over $1,000. The caller requested me to press 1 to deny or 2 to authorise payment. I hung up as I have not made any online. Paymemts and I believe the number is being used by fraudsters.
Community reports are retained as historical safety signals within the Reverseau telecommunications safety dataset and may reflect different experiences over time.
