Claimed they were Telstra internet security and had to access my device to upgrade protection. Said they'd cut my internet off if I didn't co operate.
If I don’t recognize a phone number, I simply don’t answer the call. It’s a straightforward rule I follow.
I received a recorded message from this number warning me about suspicious withdrawals from my bank account. I have no doubt that this is a SCAM attempt to gather personal information.
Two missed calls with suburb stated as Glengarry (Gippsland). No calls expected from this area so didn't answer. Not enough information as yet to know whether legitimate, but number may be spoofed.
I received a recorded message claiming to be from "bank security." I recognized this as a 100% scam and hung up immediately, followed by blocking the number.
