This call is legitimate; it was from the Royal Hobart Hospital outpatient clinic. They were reaching out to confirm or cancel my appointment and called me from the number 1300 522 809.
This phone call claims to be from a government service regarding COVID-19 home testing in Tasmania. Exercise caution, as it may be a scam.
I was contacted by phone because I am a contact for a family member who has COVID at home. They were unable to reach the family member directly, so they called me. This call was legitimate; it is not a scam or spam attempt.
I want to clarify that this is not a scam call. The caller identified themselves as part of the Royal Hobart Hospital's outpatient phone line and was calling to confirm or cancel an upcoming appointment. They asked that I call them back at 1300 522 809 regarding my upcoming appointment.
A travel company repeatedly calls my landline, usually around 6:30 PM or later. An Asian woman, who knows my surname, tries to sell holiday trips via prepaid tickets. She does not accept "no" for an answer and continues to call daily. It has become extremely annoying.
I missed the call, but they left a voicemail. It was related to the COVID at home number.
