When I answered this call, the caller immediately hung up. It seems they are attempting to generate revenue by having people answer their calls, as just picking up the phone may register me as a "made" call.
This number called me and left no voicemail message. As a result, I have blocked it to avoid any potential unwanted calls in the future.
I received a call at 3:34 p.m. from someone named Majit, who claimed they were offering a $2,500 discount on a new hot service. This discount is even more than what we paid for our new hot water unit just four years ago, which raises my suspicions.
When I called the number back, there was a lot of background noise. I decided to hang up and block the number because it seemed suspicious.
The phone number appeared as Suspected Spam on my Caller ID. When I returned the call, the person on the other end claimed to represent the Hot Water System upgrade program, which raised my suspicions about the legitimacy of their claim.
The caller mentioned something about a debate and a prize. I hung up during the conversation as it seemed like a telemarketer or a potential scam.
Community reports are retained as historical safety signals within the Reverseau telecommunications safety dataset and may reflect different experiences over time.
