They referenced an "Epidemic Emergency Notice" and instructed me to press 1 for Australian national information, which seemed suspicious.
I received a call today from this number claiming to be from CWB. They provided no further details and I felt uneasy about the legitimacy of their call.
I received a call from this number today that warned my phone would be deactivated in 2 hours, and they offered me options to press 1 for English and 2 for Chinese. I've now blocked this number due to the suspicious nature of the call.
Called twice, didn’t answer either call. Second call left a voicemail first in Mandarin, then English alleging that my phone would be turned off in 2 hours. Then the message went to a menu in English and Mandarin with call wait music in the background. SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!
I received two calls from this number, but I didn't pick up either time. The second call left a voicemail that started in Mandarin and then switched to English, claiming that my phone would be turned off in 2 hours. The message then proceeded to a menu, featuring call wait music in both languages. I believe this is a scam and feel very concerned.
The caller attempted to provide a message starting with, "This number will be deactivated..." but I hung up before they finished, as I suspect it was a scam.
The caller rang today and left a voicemail, which was entirely in Chinese. I do not speak Chinese and do not have any association with Chinese companies, making this voicemail confusing and suspicious.
