This number left a message on my home number today for tax evasion and I must pay or go to jail today. I rung back as told he was pushy and aggressive and said I must pay while on the line with him. Being a mum of three young kids I was beyond being in tears. People like this should rot in jail. Terrosing women at home how dare they.Don't be fooled ring real ato, police, centrelink. Never pay these scammers a dime. I hope they catch these people.

This telephone number is a scam.

I followed this call up on behalf of a client, to which I confirmed with the Australian Taxation Office, this number is a scam.

They had called our client demanding payment for a so called overdue amount and if the client had not paid, further legal action would be taken.

Interestingly enough, I called this number myself, and when I asked for the ATO ID of the representative (as they claim to be the ATO), they pretended the call had a bad line and they could not hear me.

I had a (missed) call from this number today and the message said something along the lines of this is a recorded message relating to tax evasion and you have been called regardless if number is silent or not listed an actions will take place. They called our land line which Is a new number and I highly doubt the ATO would call us on it as I only updated my details with them online yesterday. Scam.
