I recieve call this number I answer they only listen to me they don't talk to me. I don't know this number its sound harassing to me I block this number street away.

Another automated spam call claiming to be from Tax office. Wasting my time and why isn't anyone stopping these fraudsters?

Why isn't action taken if these scammers are reported. The ATO and FP don't seem to act fast on these numbers, how hard is it to stop the number. This is definitely a scam call.

Same story here. Call from this number is always someone with Indian/Sril. accent. I did the following two things:

1. go to scam report website to report this number:

[link] I am now calling them (03-43094129) whenever I am free, basically everyday, telling them that their number has been reported to the federal police. I also tell them that I hope they can be arrested very soon and hope to see them on the news. :).

Calling to say they are the ATO and that we need to call urgently to avoid tax evasion. it's a same.

Called me today saying they were from the ATO and I had better "pay up or go to jail" scammer.

Ditto to all of the above - except for the clever bloke suggesting we hand over our credit card details! :). Scammers. I've installed a really effective Australian app called "Should I Answer" which has helped to block about 99% of these calls which I was getting up to 10 times a day. Still get the odd one.

These scammers are pretty insistent - so I guess there are still some poor fools out there who are falling for it and helping the scammers make a lot of money.

These pricks just called me. I only changed the number a week ago.

Just got off the phone to them - was glad I took the call and have avoided entering a legal battle with the almighty ATO glad I dodged that bullet was quite simple just gave them my credit card number and other personal details they were even happy enough to flag the late fees how good !

Two missed calls this morning sounding urgent. Saying to call ASAP and do not disregard this number. Tried to phone back before looking this up online and the number is always busy. Pretty sure its a scam.

Automated call claiming to be lawsuit against you. Extorsion scam.

Hung up on first automated phone call as soon as Tax Office mentioned so they have phoned again and left a voicemail which I am just about to delete. Another number to block on my mobile. I guess I am lucky that they aren't calling the home phone. No way to block it there.

I'm just about to change my phone number. I'm so sick of these scammers calling me all day everyday, even after registering on the no call list.

I've had two calls from this number this morning. They left a voicemail both times saying they need to speak to me about tax evasion and not to disregard the call. Scammy scam scam!!!!

Yep, just had the same now. Voicemail said this is a call regarding Tax evasion and could me or my lawyer call back on that number and then not to disregard the call.

Here, have my middle finger instead. We are all getting pestered on the same day within minutes of each other. Anywhere to report this arsehole?

Indian ATO scam.

Had voice message to ring 0343094129 and don't ignore this. Nothing else said. Foreign voice, I googled the number before ringing and seen these.

Same thing. Indian guy. Went to voicemail. Didn't even say my name just straight into talking crap about tax fraud... BLOCK!

I just received an automated message from a guy with an Indian accent also. Claimed to be from the ATO and something about a lawsuit. Was adamant that I call back on 03 4309 4129. He even repeated the number on the message. Someone please stop these SCUMBAGS!

OMG these guys are such idiots just another call from them seriously whoever they get the phone number through should be told and blocked but I do know they are in Bakery Hill Victoria love when my phone tells me where the call came from lol.

I got a call from 03 4309 4129 and on the phone was a guy with South Asian voice asking about ATO.

Shit I received a call from this Indian guy as well he claimed he's from ATO and asked me do not disregard this call, and ask me to get my lawyer to call them back. This sounds weird.

They tried to get me too...

Just received it now. Threatening that they want to speak to my lawyer. I don't have one.

Fraud don't answer or call back.

So far today they have tried me 7 times!

Got this one too, same scam pretending to be ATO, will be arrested and taken to court for tax evasion if don't call them back. They must have just started this today, I've had about six calls so far!

Got 3 voicemails from 03 4309 4129 claiming to be the ATO this morning... I had to call back as a matter of extreme urgency apparently or I would be arrested today. So I called em back for a little fun...23 times... Managed to get hold of the same scammer 3 times in a row and grind him down... In the end he apologised and said he'd take me off the database ;-)... If anyone wants to wear these idiots out, call the number above and waste their time so they cant scam others.

Indian accent, not as threatening as the first voice message. They don't even say where they're calling from. These numbers need to be disconnected straight away!

Scam! trying to say tax fraud!! Indian sounding and when I called the number back I immediately realised it was a scam, he had no details and tried to ask me to re call him back and ask for Peter Anderson (come on which indian person has such an anglo name!) when I said no he hung up on me! Leaves a voice message very scary and threatening at first saying you need to get a lawyer as you committed tax fraud! I was like dam I should be rich then shouldn't I??

I have reported this number to the ATO. I confirmed with the ATO that they were not calling me. Please ignore any message received from this number.

Yep. My second voicemail that sounds like this. This one was from 03 4309 4129. Indian guy. Previously it was some Texan sounding robot. So scammy and stupid.

I just got the same phone call with a guy leaving a rude and abrupt voicemail about tax invasion and for me or my lawyer to call him back saying it is serious so please return the call.

Yes, same deal. I'm ready to phone them back and record the conversation, but then I remember I have a life. Reported them to the ACCC so hopefully we can all get some rest over it. Who are these tossers ?

A man with an Indian accent claiming to be from the ATO and calling me about tax evasion and fraud, I know fool well I am not involved in either so I know he isn't from the ATO but I also know the ATO would not be harrassing me with phone calls and leaving aggressively toned phone messages. Have been receiving these calls now for weeks, they seem to just change their number and then continue calling, always claiming to be ATO and investigating tax fraud sometimes it is a recording - now it's an indian accent. I am on the do not call register but as they are somehow a scam they clearly don't care. (not sure how exactly they are scamming but also not sure what they are getting out of pretending to be the ATO). Am sick to death of it.

Middle eastern guy called. Said he was from Australian Tax Office. Ringing about tax avoidance. Gave no details of my own. Asked for his name- "Michael Anderson" asked for his employee number with ATO he put the phone down.

Reported to the real ATO!

This person is a scammer he has called me several times, don't reply because if it was the tax office they would send you a letter, just hang up on them.

This number keeps calling me and leaves a message about tax avoidance. Call back and says I cannot be connected at this time. Seems like a scam.

A recording of a guy with an Indian accent plays when you pick up the phone from this number. Has an angry and confrontational tone saying he's from the tax office and this is regarding tax avoidance. I started getting texts saying the same thing. I called the ATO and they told me I have no such record on my file.

I have no idea how these scammers are trying to make money but they are a nuisance. Call the ATO and tell them the phone numbers when you receive a text or phone call. They take these scams very seriously. Hopefully they track these guys down and put them behind bars soon.

Missed a call. Called back then said it was ATO so I put phone down. Called back and the phone wouldn't connect. Tried several more times after that and it still wouldn't connect.
