I received a phone call from a woman who identified herself as representing a charity that provides meals for homeless individuals. I started to feel uneasy when she asked me to spell out my first name. After I paused, she prompted me again to spell my last name five seconds later. This raised my suspicions that she might be a bot, so I decided to hang up.
I encountered an extremely unpleasant charity impersonation scam today, where the caller claimed to be from a charitable organization but was trying to deceive me.
A middle-aged woman called and claimed to be part of a charity organization that helps feed people in need. I have suspicions this may be a scam.
I have repeatedly asked to be removed from their call list, yet they keep calling me. The caller does not sound genuine at all. I have finally blocked the number.
I strongly believe that the caller claiming to be Hannah Davies is a robot or fake persona. I keep receiving calls with the same voice and name, despite repeatedly asking them to stop. These scammers are relentless and seem to target vulnerable people, especially during tough financial times.
I got a call asking for donations to a local charity supporting those facing food poverty. Despite my repeated requests to have my number removed from their calling list, they continue to call. It's frustrating to have to say no when I can't afford to contribute.
I responded briefly to her, but after hearing more from her, I decided to hang up.
This caller claims to be from a fundraising company. When I politely declined their request for donations, she graciously wished me goodbye.
I have identified this caller as a scammer trying to obtain credit card information.
The caller identified themselves as being from The Fundraising Centre. Due to the nature of the call, I have decided to block this number.
I received a call from this number, but they did not leave any voicemail message. I took the precaution of blocking the number.
Scam. Don’t answer it.
Oh you too?
Voice email from someone named Hannah Davies saying she’s calling from a fundraiser for my community? No clue what this is about.
More scammers trying the swinddle people money.
Said they were from some company to my better health. Well my better health would be better without being called all day every day from these turds.
I missed a call from this local fixed number but, upon calling back, I received an automated message stating I was contacted “on behalf of your community from the fundraising centre.” I have no idea who they are fundraising for, and since it was an unsolicited call, I will be blocking this number.
Community reports are retained as historical safety signals within the Reverseau telecommunications safety dataset and may reflect different experiences over time.
