I received a call at 6:10 PM with a noticeable six-second delay before the person spoke. The caller claimed to be James from Ipec and used an Australian-sounding voice. After I expressed my disinterest, I hung up quickly. It's likely that this was an AI-generated voice. I've subsequently blocked this number.
The caller did not leave a voicemail, and I didn’t want to waste time navigating their unnecessary call center options, especially since it was an unsolicited call.
I'm really fed up with these calls! They keep bothering me every day, and I'm tired of being harassed by these persistent callers.
I suspect that this number has been spoofed. The caller did not introduce himself properly and asked for someone by their first name. He claimed to be discussing real estate but laughed off requests for company identification. When I told him not to call again, he said that the call was being recorded and I could say anything I wanted before hanging up. I felt it was an Indian call center.
This phone number has called me three times in the last two days but has not left any voicemail messages.
Community reports are retained as historical safety signals within the Reverseau telecommunications safety dataset and may reflect different experiences over time.
