This call is definitely a scam. It's frustrating that so many people in Australia don't leave any messages when they call, especially considering the widespread fraud happening lately. We need to be more cautious!
I experienced something similar. I finally picked up because I had made a recent payment and thought it was related. However, the calls are completely automated, and it's frustrating; they call me every hour! It feels like harassment, so beware!
I received a call from this number claiming to be from the Bank of Melbourne, which is not a scam, but they are incessantly calling. They call every hour for several days regarding an overdue payment. I made a payment, but apparently, it hasn't registered on their end. The persistent calls and texts are annoying!
This number from Morwell has called me 13 times over the last week without leaving any messages. Given the frequency and lack of communication, I suspect it is a scam.
The caller claims to be from the Bank of Melbourne but leaves an automated message that ultimately requests my login details, which raises red flags as this is likely a phishing attempt.
