An automated message prompted me to press 1 for Chinese and 2 for English, mentioning an epidemic warning. It felt like an improper call regarding urgent information, so I was cautious and disconnected.
I received a robocall warning me that my mobile phone service is going to be suspended today. The automated message gave me the option to press 1 for English and 2 for Mandarin. I believe this is a scam.
I received an alarming robocall that began with, "Hello, epidemic emergency message. If you are Chinese or an international student, press 1." It's best to ignore such calls, report them, and block the number.
