Got a call from this number and straight away I knew it was a bunch of Asian scammers. Can't believe these blokes are still at it!
Scam!
Unknown caller from Ouyen, VIC. Suspected scammer, so I didn’t reply. From the reviews posted here, I was right to be careful.
I received an automated call prompting me to select my nationality before providing what they claimed was scam advice regarding a Health Epidemic Emergency. The message seemed specifically targeted to Chinese nationals.
My mobile operator flagged this number as potential spam, indicating that it's likely not a legitimate call.
ID 604724: This call featured a recorded message that felt very insincere. It seems suspicious.
I didn’t answer but a message was left on messagebank - It’s an immigration scam trying to trick Chinese ppl in particular. SCAM.
I answered a call from this number and a recorded message in poor English started playing, mentioning something about immigration. I quickly hung up. Please do not answer this number!
Rang, left no message. Showed as Ouyen, Vic.
The call was declined immediately, and upon redialing, it seemed like an automated system was calling me back.
Automated message from ANZ - 100% fraud.
An hour later got a call from 0422-439-378 saying the same message.
Blocked them both.
Caller from ID came up as Ouyen VIC. Did not leave message, then within the hour was called by a mobile number +61 488 861 549 reported as fraud. Rang land line back. Was answered by foreign voice recording claiming to be from 'Good Hope' and asked to wait while call was connected. Can't confirm if it is a legitimate, but did not feel trustworthy, so have blocked.
As soon as I answered the call, it was immediately disconnected. This suggests it could be a robocall or some form of spam.
Community reports are retained as historical safety signals within the Reverseau telecommunications safety dataset and may reflect different experiences over time.
