Robocall.
This is Olivia from the commonwealth bank. We have received a transaction request for $1800..
I just hung up.
I received a robocall from someone claiming to be Olivia from the Commonwealth Bank. She stated there was a transaction request for $1800. I found this suspicious and hung up immediately.
For English press 1, for Chinese or international students press 2 etc Scam.
I sometimes wonder what happens when you press 3.
I received a call from this number earlier, where the caller warned me that I would be cut off in 2 hours. I believe this is a scam, and I've blocked the number to prevent further calls.
Definitely scam robocall. My message was "emergency academic message" what ever that mean. I must be the only octogenarian with academic emergency.
I received a robocall that presented itself as an emergency notice regarding an epidemic. It seems entirely bogus, and I plan to add this number to my blacklist.
I received a robocall claiming that my Vodafone contract details were incorrect, prompting me to press 1 for English or 2 for Chinese assistance. I immediately disregarded this as it felt very untrustworthy.
I received a missed call from this number. The text message I received stated that DHL would return my parcel if I didn't return their call, which raised my suspicion.
This call was a scam. The automated voice instructed to press 1 for English or 2 for Chinese and then continued with options for various services. It felt suspicious.
I would recommend not answering calls from this number. I have already blocked it due to previous unwanted calls.
The caller claimed there was unusual activity on my passport. I found it odd since the passport is kept in my desk drawer! When I pressed 1 for English, I was connected to a male voice speaking Chinese. I wish Telstra would find a way to filter out these scam calls.
This is a scam call from a poor-quality automated service claiming to be from Vodafone, insisting that my account details are outdated and that I will be cut off in 2 hours if I do not respond.
Automated scam calls.
I received a robotic scam call that had a professional-sounding message stating, "your service will be cut off in 2 hours." The recorded options provided were to press 1 for English and 2 for Chinese. This seems like a deceptive tactic to elicit personal information.
I didn’t pick up the phone as I found the number wasn’t from my friend’s list!
I let it go and then blocked it straight away. I would take it as a call from a scammer!
Robocaller.
The recorded message began with an "epidemic emergency notice," stating options for Chinese or international students and Australians. There was a confusing pause before the message repeated itself, which was quite suspicious.
I received a call from scammers who used an automated messaging service pretending to be from the health department. They stated I had a document to review and asked me to press 1 for English or 2 for Chinese. This tactic seems aimed at scamming both English and non-English speakers. If you encounter these callers, it's best to hang up and block their number.
