This is a scam call from someone claiming to represent the Cannington police station. I verified with the police department and they confirmed it was indeed a scam.
I received a recorded call from someone claiming to be Brenda from ANZ Bank. I did not listen to the entire message, but it seemed suspicious to me.
The caller claimed to be from Telstra offering a special discount. However, when I called the number back, I reached a customer service line with a French-accented voice, which felt unusual.
I appreciate the heads-up on these calls. I'm fed up with receiving them, so I no longer answer calls unless the caller leaves a message. This particular call seemed to come from Turriff, Victoria, according to my caller ID.

I received a call from someone with an Indian accent claiming to be from “your mobile phone provider Telstra.” When I mentioned that I’m not with Telstra, the caller quickly replied, “Oh… okay… bye” and hung up. This call reportedly originated from Turriff Victoria.
