Let’s break down the classification of this caller.

Classification: Suspicious

Based on user reports, it is evident that 02 9789 6392 falls into the category of a suspicious caller. Here are the key reasons supporting this classification:

  • Inopportune Timing: The call made in the evening hours can often bypass the usual business hours, making it a common tactic for scam operations.

Called at around 19:30 13/21/21.

It rang for a bit and then made two beeping sounds every 5 seconds. Then there was a man who said “Bonjour?” Don’t think he could speak English because he said something inaudible after I tried talking to him.

Picked up that it was a landline in Sydney.

About This Report

This page is part of the Reverseau Scam Intelligence Database, a community-driven dataset maintained by Reverseau since 2014. The database documents caller behaviour across Australian phone numbers based on first-hand user experiences.

Each entry is generated when individuals who received calls or messages from a number submit a report through our review form. Reports include a caller safety rating (1–5 scale) and a written account of the interaction. All submissions are moderated before publication.

The safety rating shown on this page reflects the collective assessment of (02) 9789 6392 by real users. It measures perceived caller risk, not the quality of this page. A low rating indicates that reporters consider this number likely to be associated with scam or spam activity.
