I have received two text messages from this number. The first asking me to confirm a passcode to authenticate a $600 account for Coles. I contacted the NAB who confirmed it was a scam. Sometime later, I then got a second text along the same lines. Then yesterday I got a third text. All three asked me to ring the number specified here. I've just checked it out and happy to have you confirm it as a scam. The thing that has me concerned is that I use that Bank Account very seldomly and usually to transfer money to my main bank. There are only two payments out from that account other than the transfers: one to my friend's bank and one to an electrician two years ago. It's almost as if someone (not my friend) has sold my mobile number and bank account to a third party.
I received a scam SMS from this number, which has been reported by others as a fraudulent source pretending to represent NAB.
I received this text message from NAB (National Australia Bank), which I do have an account with. This is the second message I've received instructing me to call a specific number. The content was as follows: "FROM NAB: Your One-time passcode is 479626 to authenticate $370 AUD to AIRBNB. If this was not you, please call NAB on (02) 9497 5074 REF: XPKRIS1."
This caller claimed to be from NAB, which initially seemed legitimate. However, after researching the phone number, I found out it belongs to a recruitment agency. I strongly believe this is a scam.
I do not bank with NAB. Another phishing scam that is supposedly from NAB. The text message says "From NAB: Your one time passcode is xxxxxx to authenticate BPAY 362$ AUD to CHAN LTD. Pleaase call NAB on 0294975074 REF: NA9994"
I have deleted it.
I received a text message from this number, stating it was from NAB, alerting me that a new device had been registered using my NAB ID and instructed me to call (02) 9497 5074 if this wasn't me. I believe this is definitely a scam, as I am not even a NAB account holder.
Similar to other comments - supposedly from NAB - this is the 'Flash SMS' message, verbatim:
FROM NAB: We noticed you are attempting to register a new device in Auckland, NZ. If you don't recognise this, please call us on 0294975074.
REF: DRF78432.
This report describes a Flash SMS message received from someone claiming to be NAB (National Australia Bank). The message states: "FROM NAB: We noticed you are attempting to register a new device in Auckland, NZ. If you don't recognise this, please call us on (02) 9497 5074. REF: DRF78432". This content suggests that the message might be a phishing attempt, so caution is advised.
I don't have a NAB account but I just received a text saying my NAB ID was accessed from a device in Auckland. Obviously a scam. Blocked, deleted.
Received a text message that claimed to be from NAB (National Australia Bank), which I believe is an obvious scam attempt. I recommend being cautious and not engaging with such messages.
I received a message warning me that my NAB account ID had been accessed from a device located in Auckland, NZ. It instructs me to call urgently if this activity wasn’t me, but I don’t even have a NAB account!
When I answered the call, I heard recorded music on hold that sounded legitimate, like something from NAB. I also received the same text message from them. The caller then asked me which bank I use, but I refused to provide that information. They hung up shortly after. When I called the number back to report them, they simply hung up again. I strongly advise against calling this number back.
This is the second text message I have received from this number, even though I do not have an account with NAB (National Australia Bank). I believe this is a scam.
I received a message stating that my NAB bank account had been compromised in Auckland and instructed me to call a quoted number for further assistance.
I received a text message claiming to be from NAB, stating that my account has been compromised and originating from Auckland, New Zealand.
FROM NAB: Your NAB ID has been.
Accessed from a device. Location:
Auckland, NZ. If this was NOT you,
Please call us urgently on 0294975074 REF: QFD39923.
Unfortunately, I gave my card details because he said he will give me a new card and will cancel the said attempted transaction. But then after the call, I saw on my account that $284 was used in ZARA london which I didn't make. I immediately went to NAB branch and they will make an investigation. Hopefully it would be refunded back to me as all the emails and messages looked exactly like NAB!!!!!
I received a warning that someone used my NAB user ID and urged me to contact them. This raises serious concerns about potential fraud.
Like many others, I received a text message about unauthorized activity on my (non-existent) NAB account in Auckland, NZ. The message urged me to call this number. I feel tempted to call just to express my frustration to whoever answers.
Received text stating - NAB: A new device from Auckland, NZ has access to your online banking, your account is at risk. Immediately contact us on 0294975074.
REF: DRBG78338.
Report to bank via text block and delete.
NAB scam. I received a sms asking if I tried to log in from an overseas location. Call 0294975074 urgently if not. I don't have an NAB bank account.
I received a message that appeared to be from NAB, alleging that my account had been compromised; however, I suspect this might be a scam.
I received a text message pretending to be from NAB, stating that someone accessed my account from a device in Auckland, New Zealand, and instructed me to call this number. However, I don't have a NAB account, which confirms it's a scam.
