I have been receiving this call up to five times a day, and it is increasingly feeling like harassment.
I received an automated call that asked if the number I provided was my business. After confirming, the call disconnected. It felt very suspicious, and I'm concerned that they recorded my voice. I called back at (02) 9160 9443, but it responded that it couldn’t accept messages and started with a greeting about Google Maps. This whole situation feels scammy, and I’m quite worried.
Scam. Missed the call because I was on another one. Voicemail was five seconds of silence, so I called back. Computer voice answered.
A man called claiming to be from 'Google' wanting to confirm our trading hours. When I questioned why he was asking, since I had received multiple similar calls previously, he stated it was an automated system that only dealt with the trading hours. His persistent inquiry raised my suspicion that it could be a scam aimed at determining when our office staff would be present, potentially for unlawful purposes. It's advisable to be cautious of such calls.
The call started with a voice that sounded human, greeting me, but then it turned into nothing but static or white noise. I appreciate the insight from others who commented about similar experiences.
This call is automated and comes from Google. You are not speaking to a real person but rather a computer system. I receive this type of call every few months, and it seems legitimate.
This number called to provide an update about the operating hours of our shop.
I received an automated message claiming to be from Google Maps, asking to update the business hours. I'm not interested in their offer and don’t trust it.
I received a call from what seemed to be an automated Google service to confirm the opening hours of a business. It sounded authentic, as some business listings on Google Maps are tagged with 'Confirmed by phone call 5 weeks ago'.
I just had a conversation with someone named Steve, who spoke with an Indian accent. Before him, I spoke to Sarah, who also had a similar accent. It’s frustrating that these scammers don’t realize we are not interested in their foolish schemes!
Called from 'Google Maps' automated service- demanded to know business hours. Hours of operation - incorrectly recalled information back to me - I hung up.
The caller indicated they needed to confirm my business's opening hours. When I asked what our current hours were listed as, he said it was an automated service and couldn’t provide that information. I mentioned we did not need an update since I had already checked that our hours are accurate. He then replied, "Oh, gotcha, right!" before abruptly hanging up.
This number has repeatedly called me several times, providing business hours, but they have failed to follow up or provide useful information. I recommend placing this number on your blacklist from now on.
I received a recorded message from Google Maps regarding the business hours of my establishment, but I decided to hang up without further interaction.
I received a call asking to update the hours listed on our business website. The caller confirmed the information they had, which I verified as correct. However, I did not disclose any numbers. Some people may perceive this as a scam, but after calling back, I was directed to an IVR that mentioned Google Maps, suggesting this number is legitimate and listed on their website. While it's potentially annoying, I am unsure if this represents a scam.
When I received a call from this number, they provided information about their hours of operation but did not ask me to confirm or repeat any numbers.
I answered a call but there was no one on the other end. When I called back, I discovered it was an automated answering service from Google. I find it frustrating that we regularly receive these calls, which are just as annoying as those from scammers and telemarketers.
I've had multiple calls claiming to be from Google Maps. After learning they might be trying to record my voice pattern as part of a scam, I plan to hang up on future calls.
A man claiming to represent Google Maps called to ask if he could update our business's trading hours. This raised suspicion as the request seemed unnecessary and unexpected.
I received a call from a robotic voice asking for the opening hours of our business. I provided the information, and they seemed satisfied and left. I wouldn't mind if they called again in the future.
The caller wanted to verify our business's opening hours. However, after asking three times where he was calling from, his vague responses made me uncomfortable, leading me to hang up the phone.
We frequently receive calls from this number, but during this instance, no one was on the line when I answered.
The caller claimed to be from Google Maps and wanted to update our business trading hours. When I mentioned that we handle updates ourselves, they abruptly hung up. This was clearly not an automated service, and I suspect it might be an information-gathering scam because reputable companies like Google would not typically use such methods for updates.
An automated service called from this number, but I found it suspicious when they said “um” during the message, which is unusual for a professional service.
I received a call asking about our business hours. It seems odd for Google to be making those calls when individual businesses should be responsible for keeping that information updated on their platform. The caller sounded like a mix of human and AI, which made me suspicious.
I confirm this is a legitimate number. After I answered, I realized our trading hours on our website had changed from 5 PM to 5:30 PM. I made the necessary adjustment to reflect the correct hours.
Similar to other callers. Allegedly from Google Maps to verify hours, sounded scammy to me, Google would not be calling unless it's for our AdWords account. Slight American / Canadian accent.
The caller inquired about updating the opening hours of my business. I previously received a call similar to this a few months ago and answered some questions. However, the next day, my number was misused in a scam involving legal threats against the call recipient.
A caller with an Asian accent claimed to be from Google Maps and stated that he wanted to update our business hours, which he said were incorrect. I informed him that the hours were already correct in our Google search results and told him to look it up himself.
Just asked me our opening hours, kind of rude and had a few awkward pauses. Accent sounded across Swedish/american mix.
This is a Google business listing verification call number.
