The call had a very poor connection, and I ultimately decided to hang up because I couldn't hear anything clearly.
I answered the call and a woman said she hoped I was well. I said I was and hoped she was too. She said she was and then launched into a long spiel about breast/prostate cancer research. She then said what $100.00, $150.00 and $200.00 would help towards. She then asked which one she could put me down for. I said that I do not donate to people who ring up asking for money. She then launched into another spiel about telephone calls being the best way to raise money. That even $30.00, $40.00 or $50.00 would be a big help and which one would I give. I repeated my earlier statement about not giving money to telephone callers and she gave up then. She didn’t pause during either of the spiels and was quite pushy.
