I just received a call from this number; the caller advised that he is from the CBA credit card department and wants to confirm whether I have made a large transaction to a US company with my Mastercard.

I said I do not bank with CBA, and then he turned around and said he was not saying it is a CBA card. He said my mobile number is connected to a MasterCard. He wanted me to confirm personal details I said no and hung up.

Scam

Someone claimed that I subscribed to Amazon Prime. The subscription will automatically charge me 99$/ month and if I want to cancel, I need to verify some data. Everything seems legit, seems I recently had transaction with Amazon Prime. The call even have an options: if you want to continue, press 0 if you want to cancel, press 1. But then, I found it weird when they asked me to verify some personal data while they're using load speaker. So while calling, I quickly checked the real Amazon Prime website and their subscription should be 6.99$/month which is not the same fee as the guy on the phone said. Luckily I haven't shared any personal info but this definitely a scam!

They just called me claiming to be from NAB saying there is an unauthorised transaction to some account.

He kept trying to get me to verify details. When I told him I don't have a NAB account, he hung up very quickly.

Long delay upon answering phone during which a couple of switches can be heard, then the standard male Indian accented voice that doesn’t introduce themselves or their company goes straight to saying, “Hello?”. Hung up straight away.

Scam

I picked up a call from someone claiming to be from Visa and Mastercard security. When I started to ask them questions for clarification, they abruptly hung up, which raises my concerns about their legitimacy.

Scam

Received a robocall that claimed to be from two major credit card companies. The nature of the call is clearly a scam, as these companies are known to be competitors and would never collaborate on such communications.
