It was a real person call, but he attempted to fish for personal details.
The caller attempted to convince me to switch my power companies to some that are not available in Australia, which gave me the impression it was a scam.
This caller is a scammer. They attempted to contact me three times in one day, which seems quite suspicious.
When I called this number back, I encountered a voice message saying "Optus advises this mobile number is disconnected."
I received a call claiming to be from Energy Australia regarding my energy bill, but I don’t pay my energy bill directly. When I asked them to stop calling me, they immediately hung up. This number has called me three times within a few hours.

Answered this call unfortunately as I was waiting for a tradie to call me. This number is definitely a scam, sounded like a call centre in the background, strong accent, he mentioned electricity then asked who I had an electricity account with… well it’s actually none of your business! I didn’t speak to them after the phone clicked qnd an Indian voice came on. I was in a shopping centre but I have no shame in shouting “Rah!!!” as loud as I can down the phone and then hanging up.
