Received a call from a man claiming to be from Commonwealth Bank. Wanted me to verify my identity by spelling my surname first, then he would sent a verification via the app. I refused and asked for a number to call back on. He gave me the number 1300 130 107. There's not a lot of evidence online that this is a legitimate number (maybe one old tweet from 12 years ago).
Anyways I called the official Commonwealth Bank number (only 6 digits) and they stated that there was no activity log on their side of any staff attempting to contact me.
