Got a call from Revenue NSW! Keep in mind you can’t ring them back since it's a private line. But definitely a legit call!
A lady called my work claiming she was from our head office section asking for private information on our staff. We weren’t going to give out anything and it’s not our method of administration either. Her name was Maria and the number used 02 85039897. Her reasons were dodgy and suspicious and she was acting on behalf of another person we have had issues with that is targeting, slandering and harassing staff.
They left a voicemail regarding my booking number and instructed me to return the call. I called the number 132232, and I confirmed that it was indeed a legitimate call from NSW TrainLink.
I received a call from this number. When I answered, there was no one on the line, so I hung up. I tried to call them back from a withheld number, but it turns out the number is out of service. This is likely a SCAM.
Call from Revenue NSW payroll tax. Left a message saying did not receive payroll tax for the month of July 2023. Please pay in the next 3 days otherwise we'll send you an estimate with a 25% penalty and left a 1300 number to call back. I was sure we didn't have any dues with the revenue department so cross checked the number in multiple ways and decided it was a scam.
This call was from Service NSW. They reached out to me regarding a dispute or issue I was having with their app, and they were helpful in addressing my problem.
This number is definitely spam. I believe those claiming it to be legitimate are likely spammers themselves. This number constantly calls me, and none of the agencies they mention are related to my affairs.
This call is legitimate. If you need assistance, you can call 132 232 for NSW TrainLink.
I was contacted by someone claiming to be from a government agency offering a 'refund' due to my travel during the free travel period in November 2022. They had specific details about my XPT trip and asked for my VISA card information to process a refund for my first-class upgrade. The caller provided a callback number, 132 212, which did not match any official Transport NSW contact information, raising red flags.
I received calls from TAFE NSW on the numbers (02) 8503 9897 and (02) 7920 1199 regarding my application for a course. The call was legitimate and not spam, providing me with helpful information.
I recognize this number as it is frequently used for outgoing calls by various services, both for businesses and households, through a VOIP provider. As a result, it often results in receiving unsolicited calls or spam.
I returned the call to this number, and the automated message indicated that it is associated with a scammer.
I received a call from this number in response to my inquiry about vouchers.
