An Indian sounding team of callers who claim to offer cheaper electricity. They did share some credible billing information that is available publicly. (viz. per kilowatt charges) etc. They offered to move me to another local provider with lower charges and significant discount. The offer sounded genuine. The were able to gather details about me when I gave them my NMI. However they asked for Medicare Card / Driving License in order to conduct a credit check. I grew suspicious at that point and told them that I could do that via self service. They were too insistent and hence I hung up.
