Just wanted to share that this number is actually a legit call from VIGIL, a Fraud Investigation Organisation that my bank uses. They called me back after I contacted my bank's Fraud Department. It gave me peace of mind knowing they're on my side!
GUARDIO blocked this one, and they reckon it’s from a scammer. Trust your gut, mate!
I received a call from the bank after a big transaction, and honestly, they were pretty genuine about it. Cheers for the heads-up, I appreciate them checking in!
Mate, this number somehow swapped my verification phone number with their landline! Now all legit calls for my bank are getting redirected to them. This is not just a stuff-up; it's a massive security mess, honestly!
Got a call from the Australian Unity transaction security team. Seems legitimate and on the up and up. Good to know they're keeping things secure!
I received a call where the person claimed that someone made unauthorized transactions totaling $228 from my online BSW account. However, after checking my bank statements with Bank Australia, I found no such transactions. The caller mentioned seeing a transaction at Coles, but I can confirm that I did not make any purchases there either.
This call is not a scam, but rather from a fraud prevention team. They are reaching out to inform you about suspicious transaction attempts that may involve your credit card.
I received a call from Cuscal, which is used by banks and credit unions to handle fraud issues. They informed me that there was fraud activity linked to my account via Western Union, and they promptly canceled my card. This is a legitimate call, so please don't ignore it.
My bank has confirmed that the number (02) 8299 9534 from Sydney is a scam. If you receive a call from this number or any similar calls regarding suspicious activity on your bank card, please contact your bank directly FIRST and adhere to their guidance.
My credit union called to verify that the transfers I made were legitimate. While I appreciate their diligence, I can't help but feel uneasy about how much they seemingly know. Overall, it wasn't a nuisance call.
Could have been related to checking of fraudulent activity on my account however I don't answer calls unknown to me and there was no message left. I did receive an in app message to call my financial institution immediately after this call.
Like other users have reported, no message was left by the caller. I checked my accounts, and everything seems to be in good standing.
The call from this number was legitimate. They left a message asking me to contact my bank regarding potential fraudulent transactions on my account. I called my bank using the number on the back of my credit card, and it turned out there was an attempt to use my card in the USA.
This call is not a scam. If you're unsure, it's best to call your bank using the official phone number listed on their website to verify the caller's identity. This number belongs to a legitimate fraud detection company that works with smaller banks without their own fraud teams. Although I was initially suspicious, the caller did not ask for any personal information.
The caller, who identified herself as Susie, stated there was a suspicious withdrawal on my Visa card and mentioned needing to connect with PayPal regarding fake invoices. I have canceled my card but can access my funds by applying for a prepaid Visa linked to my savings account.
It was difficult to fully comprehend the message, but it appeared to be a travel advice service. They provided a return number, which seemed to be for contacting them internationally.
This is a legitimate company. I had previously purchased cryptocurrency, and they contacted me to check if I had been scammed. They seemed to know a lot about my financial history based solely on my phone number.
If your credit card or bank account is compromised, your legitimate bank will typically contact you directly, not an unknown number like this one. Be cautious and don't trust fake comments that try to appear genuine; they likely want to deceive you. It's best to block this number and reach out to your bank if you have any concerns regarding credit card fraud.
I transferred $xxxx from my AMP account to Coinspot, but the payment failed. I received a call from a fraudster while I was roaming overseas. Suggest calling the number back on my overseas phone, but I believe the call was genuine as it didn't seem suspicious at first.
I received a call confirming a significant money transfer I made between two different bank accounts. The caller was very helpful and respectful. I do not consider this call a scam.
This was a legitimate call regarding an unauthorized charge on my credit card. I contacted my credit union to verify the claim, and they canceled my card, issuing a new one for my security.
This call was from a legitimate Fraud Department associated with Cuscal Ltd, who contacts users on behalf of various Australian Banks. I missed their call and received a message requesting I return their call. The staff were very helpful and understanding when I expressed hesitation about providing information. They recommended that if I was uncomfortable, I should call my bank directly. I followed their advice and discovered there was a hold on my card due to a suspected fraudulent transaction.
I received a legitimate call from a voicemail left by the "Ubank Fraud Monitoring team" at 1300 705 750. Instead of calling back the number directly, I chose to contact Ubank through their official channels. They confirmed that it was indeed a valid call from a third-party company operating in Sydney or alternatively routed through Melbourne, and that 1300 705 750 was safe to return the call. I also checked my account and discovered unauthorized transactions.
This company turned out to be fraudulent and is based in Sydney. I have contacted them directly, and even had my bank reach out to them, but they are unresponsive. I plan to go back to my bank again today because I am not impressed with their lack of communication.
I received a voice message from this number and, upon checking with my credit union, I discovered there was a suspicious transaction in the US that I hadn't authorized. I had to cancel my Visa card because of this. Therefore, I can confirm this was a legitimate call.
Geniune call from Fraud watchdog that my bank employs to phone if there is a strange transaction on my card. I didn't answer the call but phoned my bank to check and my bank was able to go through transactions with me as they can see the notes left by Cuscal Fraud to confirm which transactions they were concerned with. I had bought a couple of things off Amazon which I had never done before so they just wanted to check. Phone your bank though cause Cuscal if overly concerned can put a stop on your card to make it safe.
