Scam

Yes, I got the same scam too.

After talking with Jordan Salim first and after with his manager Steve Hollyoak for 1.5 hours, when asking them so many questions, just because usually I don't trust anybody calling with any offer by the phone, they gave me their ;A.B.N. num 171 084 949 99 they say they were in NSW as business registered for 4 years also registered in ACIC from 25/3/2004 and they also gave me 3 different tel. Num . At the end I really thought it was a legal Company .

After all the ordeal, I paid the 6 first vouches $249.00 but I could have paid for more. . . Thanks God I didn’t. What stop me was that they didn’t want to wait for me to talk to my husband which I found very odd.

Straight after I paid I felt a sick pain in my guts, I called ACIC and to my surprise they say that anybody can be registered in ACIC but that doesn’t mean they are legal.

Then I called my Bank and gave me the bad news that they most probably were very easy scammers, and not to have my hopes up because I would not see the $249.00 back. It was nothing they could do because I pay by debit card.

Yes, I got the vouches sent to our address, but in them it was not address and their phone numbers are for not avail, they never answer them.

I have already reported them to the Scam department. I really wish people get to know it for them not to fall too.

Best Wishes.

Marina.

I received a call giving me various holiday promotions and wanting a deposit immediately, when I said that I did not have enough to pay upfront. An obvious scam!

Yes it is a scam. Don't pay them any money as you will be just throwing it away. If you try and ring this number, nobody will ever answer so you will never be able to use the voucher promised as you will never receive the vouchers either. When a deal is too good to be true, it usually is just a scam.

To the comment above, did you pay any money, and what are the main concerns about their legitimacy please? I've just had a call from them and I'm waiting for information about their offer. However, I am sceptical as a starting position, although they said they got our number from a survey form ä family member or friend provided in a survey".

Thanks.

Coming from people who are from thetourgroups. Com offering great deals on travel and accommodation vouchers here in AUS, NZ and anywhere in world. Say their business is Australian Tours & Travel Pty Ltd in Camperdown NSW. They give you legit ABN details of this company on ASIC which I checked out. When you go to your bankacct, transaction taken out by Ocean Marketing Solutions Clayton S. Australia, their phone no. Is (08)72001064 and the voice message from both phone no's is exactly the same from an Indian sounding woman. Don't touch them they are a scam. I couldn't find them listed on Scamwatch. But similar messages as above listed on the Ocean Marketing phone number.

About This Report

This page is part of the Reverseau Scam Intelligence Database, a community-driven dataset maintained by Reverseau since 2014. The database documents caller behaviour across Australian phone numbers based on first-hand user experiences.

Each entry is generated when individuals who received calls or messages from a number submit a report through our review form. Reports include a caller safety rating (1–5 scale) and a written account of the interaction. All submissions are moderated before publication.

The safety rating shown on this page reflects the collective assessment of (02) 8005 0825 by real users. It measures perceived caller risk, not the quality of this page. A low rating indicates that reporters consider this number likely to be associated with scam or spam activity.
