Scam

Scam call from a call center in India.

Person wouldn't give me an email address or a return phone number that was actually listed on a business website to prove it was them.

They pretended to be updating my info on GMB but then tried to ask for over $600 from a cold call.

They kept ringing and leaving voicemails with no messages on it so then I rang it back and he asked if I owned Oroton - I laughed and said I wished - then he went straight into his spiel about updating my listing.

I do own a business and I know when Google has called to update it, it is their AI robot that does this - not a call center in India.

They are selling Google 360 indoor street views. They are legit.

It's just an overseas call centre selling Google 360 views. It's not a scam. Google has been doing indoor street view for years for businesses in Australia and all over the world.

Why wouldn't they? They're selling Google 360 views. What's the problem?

What's the problem. They're selling Google 360 views. Bought one and they even put it only website. Why do you assume it's a scam just because it's a call centre generating sales?

Maybe you gave them the wrong email address. I got an email and bought a 360view. It looks great. Goes on my website too.

Some people are so ignorant they think just because they get a call from overseas it's a scam. Google virtual tours have been in this country for years already. Wake up.

Potentially scammers from the Phillipines. Too much background noise, red flag. Blocked their number. No courtesy email received prior to the phone call. No email follow up after the phone call (as per my request). No phone number linked to a Google page.

Scammers are stupid and desperate. Looks like there are a lot of scammers on the comment sections as well.

Legitimate numbers my ass. Take that number and shove it up your own ass.

100% a scam. "Collecting info for Google streetview, because Google is offering you some free incentive". I asked where on any Google website I could find information on this incentive program, the guy said "okay" and hung up.

About This Report

This page is part of the Reverseau Scam Intelligence Database, a community-driven dataset maintained by Reverseau since 2014. The database documents caller behaviour across Australian phone numbers based on first-hand user experiences.

Each entry is generated when individuals who received calls or messages from a number submit a report through our review form. Reports include a caller safety rating (1–5 scale) and a written account of the interaction. All submissions are moderated before publication.

The safety rating shown on this page reflects the collective assessment of (02) 7912 3381 by real users. It measures perceived caller risk, not the quality of this page. A low rating indicates that reporters consider this number likely to be associated with scam or spam activity.
