Just got a message on my answering machine. Same scam - ATO taxfraud - fast talking indian sounding guy. Clearly he's a bucked of scum. I worry about older Australians being stressed out by this turds behaviour.
Have called several times accusing a non driver of having a motor accident. Threatening legal action but will not disclose date or location of alledged incident. Asian accent, very argumentive and rude.
Its a scam! Not ATO office someone answered in with an indian/sri Lankan accent.
Called my parents about TAX scam. American accent which then changed once I tried to call them back. Sounds like it is someone from overseas.
Similar to others. Message on answering machine claiming to be tax office chasing monies. Have been retire twenty years so figured it was a scam.
I also received a call saying it was the tax office. Same thig tax aviation. Had me going for awhile ..
Someone from this number left two messages on my answering machine today (11.01 and 3.31) about criminal charges being launched against me in relation to tax fraud/evasion charges. It sounded like a recorded message (clicked at the beginning of the call). I have had similar calls about the same "charges" but they left a different number this time.
These guys can't even speak English properly and put the wind up you saying they are from the tax office and unless you pay up they will send the police with an arrest warrant in 45 minutes. The buggers had me going for a while.
I am do not call register and got the same as above about tax fraud. They even left a message.
Same, same. Claims to be from ATO and threatening prosecution for tax fraud.
I also had a call from this number telling me that they are from ATO and a police member is on his way to arrest me for tax evasion.
As above. (3rd June 2016) Male voice indicating he was from the ATO. He left a message on answering machine. Was quite aggressive speech. Has been reported.
It is a scammer claiming that he is from the ATO Public Prosecutions and you are wanted for tax evasion and tax fraud. I have reported.
