I received a call from a man claiming to be from a health center in Canberra. He said I was about to receive $3,500 from the ATO regarding unpaid fees.
(Indian Accent) Hey guys, you all owe ATO money, please provide me with your bank account numbers and where you keep your keys to the house incase of emergency.

Same Phone number.0261003838 Ext 179. "Paul Mason" with an Indian accent rang and was rude and abrupt to my son. He claimed to be from the ATO. I rang back but no-one answered.
2 clients in the last week with similar numbers the other one 02 6100 3390. Checked with the ATO & they have noted this number. Also same person Mike Davis as the contact.
Mike Davis from the ATO been trying to call asks to not disregard this call. Checked with my accountant and the ATO and both have not been trying to call. Please report to ATO as they put these number on record for future reference.
Same as the others - I answered the phone but voice recorded message telling me not to ignore the call and to ring back as it was of high importance. I am a registered BAS Agent (bookkeeper) and fully aware of these scams as they have been targeting our clients - this is the first time they called us direct. I have no intention of calling anyone back and look forward to welcoming the police into my home when they arrive to take me to jail:-).

Message left from this number yesterday, from a "Mike Davis" from Audit Devision of A.T.O. He had an Indian accent and could hear others in the background with the same accent. I was told that I knowingly was fraudulent to the taxation between ２００９ - ２０１３. When I asked for proof of who they are they got very nasty.
They told me my tax file number, how much money I received from my tax return since ２００９ and how much I paid. They also knew to the exact cent how much money we had in our bank accounts and credit cards. They also knew my passport number。They knew that I had been over seas and where I went with the date I left and when I came back. They want you to pay a large amount via ２ western union transferｓ at the post office. When he kept ringing back a new number came up it is 02 46485238. They seem to be a well organized crime syndicate. Please be careful.
Same received call 1.20pm yesterday from mark davis from ATO english type assent call back number 0261003838 have these persons nothing better to do with there life.

Yes scam! Very good one! Says they have tried to deliver court orders to your house several times and that you are being charged with tax evasion. I would not give them any info and wanted to confirm with my accountant to which he was quite aggressive and said if I did not resolve the matter over the phone I would be prosecuted. I confirmed with my accountant who said was a scam.

Had a message on my answering machine this morning to call back some guy called Mike Davis for the ATO Audit division on this number. Very suss as it was clearly an automated message and he did not refer to me by my name.
Scam. Caller leaves an automated response saying they're from the ATO - audit division and to call back regarding an 'urgent matter'. Do not be fooled by this scam.
Got several calls from this number and they sounded threatening saying they were from the Tax Evasion Unit and I need to contact them. When I called back got no answer several time then they answered saying they were the Tax evasion unit. When I asked what they wanted they hung up. Then they called me again and threatened to send the Tax Evasion Unit to my home..

Receive a call yesterday from this number they left a message ''this is Mark Davis from the ATO urgent that you return our call on this number'', they also said'' this message is intended for the recipient'' that's what got me thinking.
