Chinese voice message.
I received an automated call from this number claiming there was an unauthorized $1800 withdrawal from my Commonwealth Bank account, which raised my suspicion.
I missed a call from this number and they did not leave a message. After checking reports online, I have decided to block this number.
I have been receiving these types of calls consistently, not just from NSW but also from VIC and other regions. Most of the callers speak Mandarin and claim my phone number is about to be disconnected. I'm extremely frustrated by the sheer volume of scams, especially following the Optus data breach.
I received a message from a robotic voice stating, "Your phone will be disconnected today - detail reason..." This is a scam attempt.
I received a message from the caller claiming that my phone would be out of service today, which raised my concerns.
Robocall system which doesn't understand voicemail, it left a message saying "Press 1 for English,2 for Chinese", followed by a repeat of the original message but in Chinese = scam.
I received an unsolicited call from this number two days ago, but they did not leave any message. A few days prior to that, I had been receiving spam text messages in Mandarin from various mobile numbers, all of which I have now blocked. I found those messages completely useless; it's a relief to block this number permanently too.
I received a call where I was prompted to "Press 1 for English," followed by a message in Chinese, which I did not understand. I have blocked this number as it appears to be a potential fraud.
I recommend blocking any calls you suspect to be from scammers. You can also help others by leaving detailed messages here to raise awareness about these numbers.
SPAM Call - emergency Pandemic notice.
A recording with an American female voice warned me that my service would be cut off today. I hung up before I could hear the rest of the message.
I received a message describing an "Emergency Pandemic Notice”, which seems to be spam. I advise others to disregard messages like this that may not pertain to any real emergency or important information.
I received a call with a robotic voice stating that my phone would be disconnected today. I spent about 30 minutes wasting their time, pretending to be interested.
I received a call from someone claiming to represent the Chinese embassy. While it's good to see they are reaching out, I found the call unexpected and unclear.
The caller claimed to be from immigration services but then repeated the message in Chinese, which sounded like a recorded message. This raises concerns about the legitimacy of the call.
Spam call from fake immigration.
Answered the call and a machine recording says my phone will be out of service, hang up straight away.
I received a call from someone claiming to be from immigration. They informed me that they have a document for me and have been trying to contact me.
