They called me today and left a message in Chinese. As I couldn't understand it, I have decided to block their number.
This number called me today, and I found their comments suspiciously similar to other reports I've seen. Thank you for your input.
Australian Immigration scam message.
The caller claimed that my visa information was incorrect and then asked if I spoke Chinese. When I told them that I do not, they abruptly hung up on me. This feels like a scam.
This number called my mobile at 3:54 PM while I was in Western Australia. My provider, Optus, flagged this number as potential fraud, which led me to avoid answering. As this number is unfamiliar to me, I have since blocked it to prevent any future calls.
This caller was impersonating the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) and claimed they were processing a refund for a specific sum of money.
I received a call from someone claiming to be from the Immigration Department. They insisted I had not contacted them before and asked me to press one for English. I strongly suspect this is a scam – be cautious!
