I received another call from what I suspect are scamming lowlifes. Normally, I just ignore and block these calls, but I answered this time to express my discontent. Even though I don’t think it will stop them, it made me feel slightly better. I suggest not answering any call that starts with the first 8 digits 02 5133 52??
A female caller, whom I do not know, wanted to discuss community hardships. I expressed my own financial difficulties and decided to hang up on her.
I get at least one to three calls daily from numbers like this. My phone displays the calling number, and I only pick up calls from numbers I recognize. Also, I have noticed that the number sequence appears to be incorrect for the ACT region; 0251 is not a known area code for NSW.
I want to echo the concerns of others who have reported similar experiences. I keep getting calls from numbers in the series 5133 52XX. They never leave a voicemail, and my Samsung phone has automatically flagged these numbers as 'Suspected Spam.'
I've been receiving daily calls from the number 02 513352xx around 9:30 AM. This is clearly a scam!
I started receiving calls from the number 02 5133 52xx about once per day since last week. I haven't answered any of the calls because there's never a message left. The number shows up with different last digits like (02) 5133 5238, (02) 5133 5235, (02) 5133 5246, and (02) 5133 5242.
Phoned at 346 pm on a Tuesday. No message left. Multiple 02 5133 52_ _ Numbers leaving no messages.
Big Scam.
I received numerous calls from this number—specifically 0251335 with various last digits like 238, 245, 240, and 246—constantly calling me four times in one morning without leaving any messages. My phone automatically blocks these calls, but I still get notifications about their persistent attempts. It's annoying to deal with these intrusive callers. I'm sorry to hear that they have also harassed your dad.
This number keeps calling me but never leaves a message. I'm certain it’s a scam.
Spam kindness project. Different number every time they ring.
The caller claimed to be from a club in Canberra and mentioned that my husband had made a reservation. She addressed me by my name, which was surprising, and she called my personal phone number instead of my husband's. This raised my suspicions, so I contacted the club she referenced. They confirmed that they do not know her and advised me that it is likely a SCAM.
I have been receiving calls from numbers starting with 5133 52XX all week, suggesting a pattern in their calls. I’m very frustrated with these repeated attempts, especially considering the issues surrounding data breaches!
I received a call but no message was left. It seems like this is part of a series of calls from sequential numbers. I plan to block this number.
Received a call from this number but no one spoke, and they hung up immediately without leaving a message.
