Scam machine calls always are.
I received a robocall stating that ANZ had detected a $1200 transaction on my credit card. They prompted me to press one to cancel or two to authorize the transaction. I chose to hang up after hearing this suspicious message. The call reportedly originated from Canberra.
A caller named Brenda claimed to be from ANZ Bank and stated there had been unauthorized access of $1000 to my account. She instructed to press 1 if I didn’t authorize this transaction, and to press 2 if I did. However, this is not my bank.
Received call 30 July 2024, Caller is Automated voice recording - female voice of Asian descent, who identifies herself as Olivia from Common Wealth Bank - "Do you authorize bank transaction of $18,000 made just a moment ago, if Yes press 1, if No press 2". Call displays as from Australian Capital Territory. Believe call to be a scam - I don't have an account with Commonwealth bank.
A person named Olivia, claiming to be from Commonwealth Bank, called me to inform me about an unauthorized transaction. However, I am not a customer of Commonwealth Bank and found this alarming.

The options were to press 1 to accept or 2 to decline. The call appeared to originate from the Australian Capital Territory, but I believe this is a scam since Commonwealth Bank would typically use a real representative for such matters.
