Fake PayPal email - trying to get you to pay an invoice for a Google Pixel for $599.99.
I received a scam email that appeared to be from "PayPal." It claimed that I had an invoice for a Google Pixel worth $599.99 under the name Susanne Rule (0024) and instructed me to call a toll-free number (02 5016 2468) if I didn’t place the order. I want to warn everyone not to call that number, reply to the email, or click any links, as it is a scam.
I received an email that appeared very legitimate, supposedly from PayPal. It was even marked as a trusted sender by Outlook! The message stated: "Seller note to customer: Your PayPal account has been used to purchase a Google Pixel for $599.99. If you did not place this order, please call us at our Toll-Free number (02) 5016 2468."
I received a call from this number trying to scam me out of $599.99 for a phone purchase.
This is a fake PayPal call. Scammers.
