Have been getting phone messages every day now for a week. Today I turned off machine and pushed *10# this is the number that came up(02 49226700) has been engaged for 5 hours straight now !
The message below .
"this is an automated message from the Australia department of taxation, you are being investigated for tax avoidance and tax evasion, your bank acc have been locked and an arrest warrant has been issued, your phone and premises are under surveillance you or your lawyer please phone 02 60642051 "in a really bad Indian accent it is longer than that but can't understand half of it.
Went straight to Australia tax office (notice they couldn't even get the name right) nothing.0, they have no record of any issue with me.
Have reported above to ATO and to police but only got this number today !
They've been calling me for two years. I just have their number listed as do not call so that I won't answer...
They are calling from Hunter United Pest Control .
Very rude.
