Scam

Received three calls from (08) 8248 5541 within 3-5 hours. On the first call I didn't have my glasses on and somewhat misread the number, as I know some govt. Departments in NSW begin their numbers with '8' I was surprised to get a "standardised scam line". They claimed to be from Telstra (I am not with Telstra at all) - presumed was a scam call. Was polite(ish) first time - told bloke I was not interested straight away; he kept on so I said I was not with Telstra and that I wasn't interested and hung up. Second call similar. Third call when he said he was with Telstra I unfortunately told him that I didn't care and to F*** Off - at which he hung up on me.

Within an hour or so I received a call from (02) 4844 2225. I didn't make the phone in time; as I'd been working outside for a large part of the day I'd had to keep coming in and again hadn't been wearing my reading glasses (thought is was a '04' number this time). I rang back straight away and they did not answer. I then took the phone outside as I continued gathering wood and detailing the car and proceeded to ring back non stop presuming it was a management number from the previous number harassing me. After about 10-15 minutes they took the phone off the hook for a few minutes (meaning the line was manned and not a no-return call line). I continued to call them again for about another 15 or so minutes (non-stop) until the phone came off the hook again. I then continued until the phone came off the hook for a third time . . . at which I continued again for about another 15 minutes.

Hopefully I'm taken off the original number's (08 8248 5541) call list.
