This call appeared to be another scam, where the caller was pretending to be testing my IP address. It’s advisable to avoid engaging with these types of calls.
I chose not to answer this incoming call because my phone identified the number as a potential fraud risk!
Real person calls pretending to be from Telstra babbling about IP address and security. The person hang up when I asked her my actual IP address (I am a bit of a technical geek) which she didn't know.
A person called pretending to be from Telstra, speaking about my IP address and security issues. It felt very much like a SCAM or phishing attempt. They hung up when I asked for details about my IP address, which they could not provide.
I received an automated scam call that claimed there was a charge to my credit card and instructed me to press various options to cancel it. The call appeared to be from Katoomba, NSW, which raises suspicion.
