I answered the call but experienced silence on the line before the call was abruptly disconnected.
It's high time the authorities took action against this issue. They need to trace this number and prosecute those responsible for scamming people.
I did not pick up the call, but I received an automated voice message that claimed to be from ANZ, stating there was a pending debit on my account. However, I find this suspicious because I do not have an account with ANZ!
An Indian woman called claiming to be from Telstra and attempted to frighten me by saying that my IP address had become public. I asked for her extension at Telstra so that I could return her call, but she was unable to provide it and quickly ended the call.
I received a call from (02) 4444 1263, claiming to be from Vodafone, offering me discounts. The representative sent me a legitimate login link from Vodafone and asked for my 4-digit login code. This raised a red flag, as it seems they are attempting to access my Vodafone account.
The caller claimed to be from my bank, asking for my account numbers to verify transactions using an AI voice. This raised immediate red flags for me.
One of the usual automated SCAM calls from 0244441263 - "Hi this is Optus... we're going to disconnect you.. Blah blahl...1 for english 2 for chinese"
Yeah nah - youre shift buggers trying to scam people... Wrong telco for the number you called.
I didn’t answer the call because my phone flagged it as a potential fraud attempt.
I received a call similar to others reporting potential fraud. I didn’t answer since my phone identified it as a likely scam.
I received a typical automated scam call from the number (02) 4444 1263. The message started with "Hi, this is Optus... we're going to disconnect you..." followed by options such as pressing 1 for English or 2 for Chinese. This is definitely a scam call, as the message was misleading and the number they called is not associated with my actual phone provider.
I received a call from this number, which was flagged as a spam risk on my phone. I answered, but the caller hung up. I tried to call back to investigate further, but the number was not connected, leading me to suspect it's a scam.
This number is associated with spam calls. When I answered the call this morning, they immediately hung up without saying anything.
This number appears to be a scam. I have deleted the contact and blocked future calls from them.
I suspect that this phone number is a scam. I chose not to answer the call.
The caller claimed to be from ANZ Bank and used an AI-generated voice to impersonate a real person. They stated there was an unauthorized transaction on my debit card.
Scammer. Male foreign speaker asked if I authorized an overseas purchase of over $400 for something and when I refused to provide any details they hung up. I don’t even have a commbank account!! Dodgy.
This is a scam number.
Not able to call back. Looks suspicious.
