A phone number claiming to be from the Australian government contacted me, stating that there is an issue with my passport. This appears to be a scam.
Scam call. Prerecorded message about locking your account.
I received a call from a number claiming to be from Kiama, which I believe is a coastal town. I do not know anyone from that area, so I decided not to answer, and they did not leave a message.
Scam call. Recorded message about migration or something ridiculous.
The call featured a recorded message that appeared to be related to an immigration scam. Please be cautious if you receive a call from this number.
The number appears to be calling from Kiama NSW. When I answered, I received a recorded message in English stating it was from Vodafone, followed by a recorded message in Chinese. This seems very suspicious.
SCAM CALLER!! Package not delivered Scam…
The caller rang just a couple of times and left a voicemail that misleadingly claimed to notify me of an academic emergency, but it was either in Chinese or English. It seemed clearly suspicious, so I reported it to Scamwatch for further investigation.
