For real, steer clear of this number! I picked up and the line claimed to be an “Important call from CommBank” – yeah right! They had the digits of my card lined up with my number, then a bloody roboscam hit me up for my netbank info and birthdate. I bailed before I gave them anything! Contacted CommBank, and guess what? They’ve confirmed none of it was legit.

I believe the phone number (02) 4058 2670 is being used by someone impersonating a Commonwealth Bank (CBA) representative, as indicated by other user comments. This number has called me twice in the past two days. Additionally, I received calls from the mobile number 0485 985 909, but they never leave a message. It’s quite frustrating, so I've decided to block both numbers.

I received an automated call claiming to be from Commbank, instructing me to click on a number. I immediately hung up and later confirmed with the bank that this call was indeed a scam.

This number is not suspicious; it belongs to an automated caller from Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA). The message informs you to contact the bank regarding overdue funds or any money owed.

S

IITS SCAM! They keep using different phone numbers every night to call me. They called late after hours, and I want to emphasize that I do not have an account with CBA.

B
Bova

The call was confirmed to be from COMMBANK, and this was verified by my local branch, so it seems legitimate.

W
Wolpert

I consulted with the staff at my local bank about this number, and they confirmed that it’s a known scam caller.

W

I have received three calls from this number, all claiming to be from the Commonwealth Bank. Unlike previous calls I had from the bank, which were handled by real representatives, these were automated and felt insincere. During the last call, the automated message cut off abruptly while it was still talking, and I find it concerning. Therefore, I choose not to answer any personal questions from such automated systems.

I received a call from this number claiming to inform me that my membership payment had not been processed. However, I believe this is a scam, as I confirmed that there was no such issue with my membership.

H

I received a call from this number claiming to be from Commbank, but I have never been a member of that institution. This is clearly a scam call, and people should be cautious about such communications. It’s advisable to directly contact the company if you receive similar calls to verify their authenticity.

R

The caller requested my personal details to verify something. It's frustrating and unnecessary—this is just another scam attempt.

Please do not share any personal information with this number. They are scammers posing as representatives from the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA). They did not leave any voicemail after the call, and when I attempted to return the call, they asked for my personal details. If you are worried, it's best to contact the legitimate Commonwealth Bank at their official number, 13 222 1.

If I were able to pay whatever they are requesting, I would have already done so. Their persistent calls are both annoying and unhelpful.

I believe the local police should investigate this issue to track down the scammers operating in this area.

I'm receiving calls from this number despite having no outstanding bills, and I have already closed my account with them. They continue to call even though there is no reason for them to contact me.

B

I received a call from what appeared to be Commonwealth Bank. Although the call was automated, I have chosen not to engage with them. I have been a customer for over 36 years but have become disillusioned with their customer service. Despite not using my account anymore, they continue to withdraw direct debits that no longer apply, which has been occurring since March.

L

This call was supposedly from Commonwealth Bank. It was an automated message that mentioned my name and instructed me to press a button to continue. Since I don't have any outstanding accounts with them, I recognized it as a scam and did not engage.

B
Bangert

If this call is genuinely from Commonwealth Bank, I would expect to receive either an email or a notification in my internet banking inbox instead. Be cautious.

H
Howland

This is definitely a scam call. I have no valid reason for Commonwealth Bank (CommBank) to contact me, as I don't have any funds or transactions with them that would warrant such a call. It seems completely fictitious.

This number is flagged as a suspected spam caller. I personally know someone who was scammed out of a large sum of money by someone posing as Commonwealth Bank. Anyone saying this is not a scam could potentially be involved in the scam. The number appears to be cloned or spoofed to mimic Commonwealth Bank. Always contact your bank directly using their official hotline or visit a local branch for any concerns.

This phone number belongs to the CBA (Commonwealth Bank of Australia) collections department. They will call you if you have an outstanding balance. If you do not wish to discuss your account details over the phone, it is advisable to call the number 13 listed on the back of your bank card. When you call, request to speak to the collections team, as the regular banking team does not have access to information about collection calls. It's important to note that this call is legitimate and NOT a scam!

H

I received a genuine call regarding an overdue payment on my credit card. They typically contact me when I have missed the minimum payment. However, as a precaution, I advise against discussing any financial matters over the phone; it's always better to handle such issues directly at the bank.

I got a call from (02) 4086 5270. When I called back, the line was disconnected as soon as I said hello. So, I tried calling from a different mobile number, and they answered, claiming to be from Visa and MasterCard's security department. They mentioned I had two suspicious charges on my debit card, and when I asked for details about the transactions, they hung up. This is definitely a scam.

K

I received an automated call purportedly from CommBank asking for my personal details upfront. I suspect this is not actually from Commonwealth Bank, and I advise others to be cautious.

G

This user reports that they received a call identified as a scam. After the call, they directly contacted Commbank and confirmed that the number used in the call is not associated with the bank's official communication.

I contacted Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) regarding a call from this number. They were unaware of who it was and suggested that it was likely a scam call, especially since the caller started with some basic information and requested more details from me.

I received a computer-generated call that stated they would debit money directly from my account. While some comments mentioned CBA (Commonwealth Bank of Australia), I don't have an account with them, so I am certain that this is a scam.
