Scam. Threatening arrest if you don't call back. No answer on return call.
Received a call from this number today saying it was the tax department regarding a lawsuit against me. It is absolutely rubbish.
This number called me and left a message saying if I didn't call back they would "get" me arrested. I called back, sounded like a foriegn call centre, tried to tell me it was the ATO. I told them to shove it and hung up..
Scam. Computer-generated voicemail message: "There is a lawsuit case [inaudible] getting filed under your name. The moment your receive this message I want you to get back to me on my department division number 2 4017 1159". Followed by a threat of an arrest warrant and "get you arrested".
Just had a voicemail with an automated males voice saying that I have a lawsuit under my name and if I didn’t call them back on this number, there would be an arrest warrant out for me.
ATO tax office SCAM CALL.
