Scam

I got a call on the 4 January 2018 from 02 4017 1033 and they left me a disturbing message saying I am in serious trouble and if I do not call back urgently they will send out someone to arrest me.

When I called back the number nobody picked up my call.

DO NOT call back this number. This is most likely how they collect money from your service provider.

Scam

I was called today by 4017 1033 however I did not answer the call and a message was left on my voicemail. It was a robotic message that stated if I did not call the number back again a warrant would be issued for my arrest. Obviously it is a scam do not call them back. Even though I have registered for the Australian - do not caIl register I cannot be protected from scammers. Now, I just don’t pick up unknown if it’s an unknown number and I block them on my phone. This free- do not call register - is useful though because no businesses other than charities or businesses I have given consent to ring are allowed to ring me. This has dramatically reduced the amount of annoying unsolicited businesses trying to sell to me something by about 98%.

Scam

Just received a phone call from this number. I let it go to message bank because I didn’t know who it was. When I listened to the voice message, it was a robotic recorded message, in an American accent, telling me that they are calling from The Australian Taxation Office and that I am going to be taken to court over tax issues. SCAM! I have no tax problems and the ATO never make phone calls. All communications with The ATO is mail via Australia Post. I have deleted the message. Do not answer this call!
