Got a call from some dodgy woman with a thick accent who went by 'Jade,' claiming to be from 'Auto General Insurance.' She wanted my full name, dob, and address before spilling the beans about a supposed car accident I wasn't even involved in. I told her to nick off! Then she shot me a shady SMS from 0439 455 875 pushing me to call back. No thanks!

I got a call from a women (foreign accent) stating my full name and a "claim number" 117755321 and a phone number to call,1300 074359. No details what is was about, or "who" they were. When I googled this number, the first search return was for "recoveriescorp", although I cannot find this number listed anywhere on their website. It may be coincidence, but I did get contacted by someone claiming to be from recoveriescorp in May, related to an at fault traffic accident which was dealt with by my insurance company, YOUI. Apparently the 'other' party used a car insurance company, which it turn uses recoveriescorp, so it looks like my details have been deliberately leaked or hacked. The scary part is "recoveriescorp" are also used by the ATO to recover debts, so be prepared for your personal information to be leaked.

I check the rego on VIC Roads, it does not exit!
