Identifying the Scam: 07 5509 5155 / 0755095155 - BWN Group Pty Ltd

The phone number 07 5509 5155 / 0755095155 has been reported numerous times by users as linked to BWN Group Pty Ltd, which is operating as a gambling scam. This number has sparked significant concern among Australians, particularly those interested in horse racing and sports betting. By understanding how this scam operates and recognising the red flags, individuals can avoid becoming victims.

Overview of User Reports

Users have shared alarming experiences detailing the deceptive practices employed by the company. Commonly, they would receive glossy brochures showcasing seemingly legitimate betting opportunities that turn out to be far from faithful. Reports indicate that consumers are persuaded to make upfront payments, often in exchange for promises of significant returns that never materialise. Key indicators of a scam include:

  • High upfront fees (e.g., $550) with vague terms and conditions.
  • Pressure tactics that coerce individuals into larger investments under the guise of having to act quickly.
  • A consistent pattern of obtaining personal information with no clear gain in return.
  • A lack of verifiable success stories, as noted in user feedback.

How This Scam Operates

The modus operandi of the BWN Group engages potential victims by presenting attractive offers, often tailored to their circumstances. This makes the hit appear relatable and credible. Notably, once an interested party engages, they find themselves amid a cycle of multi-phase payments, leading to additional costs purportedly necessary to 'release' winnings or safeguard investments. Unfortunately, this system showcases just how adept scammers are at exploiting vulnerabilities.

How to Handle Calls from 07 5509 5155

If you receive a call from 07 5509 5155 / 0755095155, consider the following recommendations:

  • Do not reveal any personal or financial information. Scammers often aim to gather sensitive data to further exploit their victims.
  • If they make unsolicited calls, hang up. Trust your instincts; if something feels off, it usually is.
  • Report the number to the appropriate authorities such as the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) for taking necessary action.
  • Utilise a Reverse Phone Lookup service to verify unknown numbers. Tools like Reverseau are invaluable resources for uncovering the legitimacy of calls.

Final Thoughts

Stay vigilant if you encounter the phone number 07 5509 5155 / 0755095155 or any associated with BWN Group Pty Ltd. As user reviews have illustrated, they possess a well-crafted façade concealing a predatory scheme that defrauds trusting individuals. Protect yourself by being informed and cautious, and remember: if an offer sounds too good to be true, it likely is.

Me too, as per above descriptions, glossy brochure, had been talked into by a lady with circumstances the same as me. It was as if they had googled my position & copied that so I could relate to how it was going to work for me.

Her husband had the same career as me & she also had 2 daughters in which completed the same sports as me. She persuaded me into saying that the $550 deal will cover all sporting commitments.

I then got rang up to say day deal only & was persuaded to upgrade to the first 4 package a neat $5500 deal. Stupid me, did.

I have made loads of phone calls wanting to see where my promised TAB account was etc, & me too also was told I had won $19000 first 4... But yes nothing to be seen of the card or the money.

Yes I am another stupid statistci!!!

I received a call from Matthew at BWN Group today regarding my earlier post here (below). I also sent them an email which was quite rude under the assumption they were scammers. As it stands, Matthew explained their proposition to me in further detail and they were quite unhappy that I ran their legitimate business into the ground here on this website. After speaking to Matthew, I do believe they are a legitimate business and not scammers. However, like every new money-making proposition, there is always risk involved and you do risk losing your money if the gambling statistics don't work in your favour. Apparently they have been in business for 12 years and have many happy clients. They have a constant struggle against people like myself who deface their character on the internet, especially when it cannot be removed. Personally, I won't be taking up their offer. But having said that, I do believe they are legitimate and I wanted to amend my earlier statement below.

I too have been contacted by Scott from this company offering a "once in a lifetime opportunity" to make some serious $$ through the Numero system. Total scam!! Admittedly, they are very good at what they do. They sound professional and legitimate, their glossy brochure is full of tidy statistics and long winded explanations on how their "proven success" can benefit those "select few" who are fortunate enough to take part in this incredible opportunity. So glad I'm smarter than they obviously think I am, and I did my research! Stay away!!!

I have been receiving calls from a guy named scott from the BWN group. Hes been promising me exactly the same package as mentioned by someone else before. $550 set up and then when I reach $ 10 k I have to pay my first installment of $2500 etc. etc. . I don't know how they got my number, but they sent me their classy brochure first and then I received a call the next. They make it sound as if you requested the information and you have spoken to them on the phone before, and they do it so convincinngly that you have to believe them. In my case, they knew I was a small business owner which makes it very easy to speak to someone and forget the next, because of the number of people you have to deal with. They also know, that as a business owner you are pretty busy and don't have too much time to spend researching about them on the internet.

Fortunately for me, no matter how busy I am, there is no way I m getting scammed by a brochure and some phone calls.

Yes I received a couple of phone calls from BWN and fobbed them off both times and then surprise, the glossy brochure from BWN arrived today.

It's yet another scam from Australia's leading scam state, QLD.

I don't know what it is in the water there, but if it's not real estate scams it's quick money scams.

STAY WELL CLEAR OF THIS TYPE OF SCAM, YOU WILL BE GUARANTEED ONE THING, YOU'LL LOOSE YOUR MONEY!

A complete and utter scam! Do not deal with this company.

Luckily for me it was only a $550 dollar loss unlike others that have been done over for a lot more. They look legit and talk even better. Don't be fooled.

I regretably and embarrassingly have been caught out by this group. I was talked into paying an extra $1760 for them to do the whole lot which included trifectas etc. I apparently had a big win of $23.000 but was told I had to pay a further $5.500 to release it from the TAB. Which I reluctantly did. (They are very persuasive) Surprise surprise the money wasn't forthcoming and the gentleman who I was dealing with has apparently left the company. I have been trying for over two months to get my money back but I'm just fobbed off from one person to the other with promises of calling me back but no one ever does. I've lost all hope of seeing any of my money. Do not under any circumstances deal with these SCAMMERS...

I have also had the same offer, they sound very convincing but I have huge doubts. Anyone else heard anything?

Yes, I have received a glossy brochure detailing that you pay $550.00 up front as a fee and you don't pay any more until your account is in greater profit than $10k - Say $12500 then you have to pay them the first half still owing of $2500 with a further $2500 to be paid when your account reaches the $12500 say and then you pay then the balance of $2500. Can anyone comment if they have had any success with this program or System to prove it is a good thing?

Many thanks for any comments - 24/03/2015.

BWN group pty ltd gambling scam, they pick short odd horses and take your money on the side. Be warned, stay away from this. They will send you a glossy brochure making it look all legit. It is far from this.
