Got a call from AAMI about my claim; seemed like a genuine attempt to sort things out.

While some users report this number as legitimate, I am uncertain about its authenticity. The caller, who asked to confirm my details, would not clarify the purpose of the call. Afterward, I contacted GIO directly and was informed they did not reach out to me. Therefore, while it may not definitively be a scam, it left me with doubts.

C
Cornelison

This number called me and went directly to my voicemail without leaving any message. Because they did not identify themselves, I believe this is spam. A genuine caller from an insurance company would have left a message.

S
Sneath

After I submitted an email request about my insurance, this number has been calling me repeatedly.

P
Printz

They called and seemed legitimate, but I did not answer. I received a voicemail but when I tried to call back, no one picked up.

L
Ladwig

I answered a call from someone pretending to be from AAMI, and they insisted on collecting all my personal details before they would divulge any information. I refused to provide any personal information to a stranger who called me unexpectedly.

I've been receiving calls from the number (07) 3732 2200. The first call was on September 28, 2024, and again this morning on October 8, 2024. These calls are unsolicited and unwanted.

G
Getz

They called me today, and it turned out to be a legitimate call.

F

If the caller is not providing sufficient information, it makes no sense to search for details about that number.

H

If they were legitimate, then why haven't they sent me that letter after the first call? I requested that letter sent to me to my residential address. Still hadn't received it. Stop lying!

G
Garrison

Mine left s message saying he was from APIA with reference number… but I calked APIA.

APIA needs to admit to security problems because I was with them 10 years ago.

R
Riddick

This is a legitimate call from the AAMI/SUNCORP insurance department regarding a refund they owe me due to an error on their part from a few years ago. They asked for my name and date of birth to confirm my identity and my bank details (BSB and account number) to facilitate the refund.

J
Jake

Following an anonymous report from March 16, it's been identified that this number is associated with the IAG, Suncorp, AAMI, and Shannon's group. I recognized the number from a missed call I received after filing an insurance claim. I did not answer the call since it was from Queensland, but I received an email immediately after.

B
Butcher

I made it clear that I would not share my name, birthdate, or address until I was informed of the purpose of the call. I expressed my unwillingness to answer any questions without knowing who I was speaking to.

W
Wehrle

This was a legitimate call from GIO. They contacted me to discuss a glitch regarding a multi-policy discount that was not applied to my latest policy. The issue was resolved during the call, and I followed up with a detailed email from them.

R
Rawls

I received a call from Suncorp/AAMI regarding a car accident claim I recently submitted. A few days prior, I had emailed them about a taxi fare reimbursement. They were calling to request additional information from me in order to continue processing my reimbursement.

I have been receiving numerous suspected spam calls over the last week after I posted my mobile number on HiPages to find tradespeople. The latest call came from Queensland, adding to a string of unknown callers. I believe these calls may be scams, particularly since I have no affiliation with any Suncorp company.

B
Bhalla

I received four consecutive calls from this number without leaving any message. I typically do not respond to unknown numbers. If this is a legitimate call from Suncorp, I would appreciate a text message directing me to check the insurance section on their app. Otherwise, I'm not interested.

L
Leatham

I just got a call from a number 0737322200 who told me he was from Suncorp and wanted to talk about my claim. He asked me to confirm my details and when I said I was uncomfortable with that as I did not know if he was a scam he told me to call him back on 1300047836. There was some information he gave me that was correct and some that was not. I called back on the number he called from and got a strange message saying it was Suncorp and if they called me there was nothing I needed to do then the call hung up. I called the number on the website and they told me they had not contacted me. So... A scam and one that obviously has links with someone who works in the insurance industry who steals some information and uses this. Dodgy as hell for mine.

H
Hallgren

I missed the call but received a voicemail claiming to be from Suncorp. To verify the legitimacy of the call, I contacted Suncorp through one of their official website numbers, and they confirmed that they did indeed attempt to reach me.

M
Madera

I received a legitimate call from AAMI regarding our insurance claim. This call was made from their head office in Queensland, and the representative verified their identity.

B
Blain

The caller left a message asking me to return the call to 1300 052 852, but I found out that this number is not connected. The original call came from (07) 3732 2200. When I tried calling the (07) number back, I was greeted with a Suncorp message instructing me not to act on anything they said and that they would call back. The whole situation felt very strange.

V
Vogler

I didn't answer the call because it was from an interstate number I did not recognize, and there was no message left when it didn't reach my voicemail. However, shortly after, I received an email regarding an existing GIO claim, indicating that the call was legitimate in my case. That said, please use caution, as some calls from this number may not be genuine.

M
Merkle

The caller said they were from AAMI Insurance and wanted to discuss my insurance claim. This is a total scam! I do not have any active insurance claims and I currently don’t have insurance with AAMI.

C
Chiles

The caller left a message claiming to be from AAMI regarding an insurance claim. They asked for a name that was not mine, and I do not have any insurance with AAMI or have been involved in an accident.

S
Slough

I answered a call from this number, and the caller asked questions about my car, but some of their inquiries didn’t add up. If you receive similar calls, it’s best to hang up and call your bank directly on their official number. Additionally, keep an eye out for a formal email from Suncorp with the correct address, as they would send one for such matters.

S
Suppa

If you’re uncertain about a caller, it’s best to hang up before providing any personal information. Instead, call your insurance company using a known number. It’s better to be safe than sorry!

S
Schiefer

I missed a call from this number, but the caller left a voicemail in which she cited an AAMI policy number and mentioned that an email would be sent. I later called the number in the email and spoke to a representative who stated I was overcharged a few years ago and they owed me a small refund plus interest. This seems legitimate.

D
Demos

I answered a call from this number, but the caller hung up. In response to a previous inquiry about the legitimacy of the call, if it were genuine, they would only require your claim number after you informed them you contacted your insurance company, as they would take responsibility for further actions.

G
Golan

Definitely Suncorp group.

W
Wichert

This number belongs to a legitimate insurance company, but they frequently call the wrong number. Those who do not remember any dealings with the company can safely ignore their calls or simply inform them they have dialed the wrong number.

E

I am concerned that a scammer might be using a legitimate Suncorp number to deceive people. My experience has left me feeling uneasy, and I would prefer that they email me if it is important rather than call.

M
Mullins

This call appears to be legitimate and is from Suncorp Insurance. After initially hanging up, I received an email prompting me to call them back at (07) 3470 2208. To ensure your safety, I recommend doing the same if you get a similar call.

S
Spence

If I receive unsolicited calls while having no active claims whatsoever, I will consider it a marketing or scam call. If there were an urgent matter regarding an active policy, they should reach out via the registered email on file. Given the many scams this year, I refuse to discuss my details over the phone.

K
Kannan

I want to clarify that this call is definitely not a scam. Just because others are labeling it as such doesn't mean it actually is. It’s important to assess calls individually.

M
Mariner

This call was from Suncorp. I currently have a claim with CIL, which is part of Suncorp, and they were calling me to discuss details about my claim.

W
Willman

There are currently no checks in place to prevent scammers from leaving comments suggesting that this number is safe. If you have any doubts about a call, it's best to consider it a potential scam.

L
Leisure

This is definitely a scam. I declined the call, and they immediately called me back multiple times, even before I could block the number. Legitimate representatives from Suncorp would never behave this way; it’s clearly a scam using their number.

F
Ferrara

Call from AAMI, had a missed call from them, they sent me a follow up email with the number to call them on and the claim number, which all matched.

P
Pharo

I got a missed call with a voicemail this morning on a Saturday from (07) 3732 2200. The message said, "Hi, my name is Amy and I'm from GIO. I'm calling about reference number CPG00163260. Please call back on 1300 041 086 Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm." I want to mention that I do not have any policies with GIO or any open claims, which makes this call suspicious.

F
Freimuth

I can confirm that this number is associated with legitimate businesses AAMI and Suncorp. There is no need for concern regarding this caller.

O
Oscar

This number may be using a technique known as "spoofing" to impersonate Suncorp's official number. It is likely a scammer, so please be cautious if you receive a call from this entity.

G
Greenlaw

I received a legitimate call from AAMI regarding a reimbursement for my Uber ride from home to a hire car. This call was not a scam.

S
Sandford

I believe this call is legitimate. It came from Shannon's, which is associated with Suncorp/AAMI, and they were following up on an insurance claim I made. They requested specific details for reimbursing me for an expense claim I had submitted, which made me feel more secure since they had information no one else would know. However, the unknown interstate number and the caller having an Indian accent initially made me suspicious.

C
Carline

This call was definitely a scam. The phone number claimed to belong to AAMI, which is actually 132244. Do not engage with them.

W
Wilk

Please ignore the remarks regarding this number as it appears to be a scam from someone using a hijacked phone number. Stay vigilant!

P
Penney

I received a call claiming to be related to my AAMI Insurance claim; however, the "claim reference" they provided did not match the one I received from AAMI. Since it was not a valid reference and I only have one active claim, I believe this was a scam.

C
Caro

I answered a call regarding an insurance claim I had previously filed. It turned out to be a genuine and informative call. I'm glad I picked up!

R

H
Honore

R
Ruprecht

The caller asked for three forms of identification. Before I provided them, I made sure to verify the case number they mentioned, and they confirmed it. While it seems safe to pick up the call, be prepared for potential long wait times if you choose to engage.

S
Sandford

I received a call today from an Indian woman claiming she was representing another party. She conducted a three-point ID check, after which she stated the date of an incident and claimed that I was at fault. I disagreed, as I was actually the one who was hit from behind, with witnesses and police present. She then inquired if I would dispute the claim and subsequently hung up.

C
Collin

This call may be from either AAMI insurance or Vero Insurance, as I have conducted business with both companies and noticed they share the same caller ID.

P
Poss

I received a call from this number which was abruptly disconnected. When I tried to return the call, I only heard an automated voice message. This whole situation seems quite suspicious and possibly a scam.

B
Blundell

This call was legitimate and indeed from Suncorp. I received a notification that I was being compensated, and the call confirmed the transfer into my bank account for a claim. They had my banking information, and I only needed to verify the last three digits. Therefore, I didn’t perceive it as a scam.

N
Nawaz

This caller is genuine and left a detailed message regarding my car insurance claim with Shannons. They also followed up with an email containing further details about my claim, confirming their authenticity.

E
Estrada

I can confirm that this is definitely a scam call. They left a message trying to discuss my business insurance policy, which I don’t have. I also suspect that the positive comments about this number may be fake and left by the scammers themselves to mislead others.

D
Dizon

This number seems legitimate. I received a call from them and they already knew my business name. They were inquiring about arranging a vehicle towing service with AAMI Insurance.

B
Bowles

I currently have an open claim with Suncorp, and when I returned the call, the automated message indicated that they would reach out to me again if necessary.

P
Pruss

A message was left on my voicemail by.

A very fast talking female with an odd accent. She rambled off a return contact number with extension code... Way too fast for me to memorise or note down. I could barely understand a word she said. I feel relieved to know that so many other people also felt that this number seems like a scam, and that l am not overreacting to block it.

L
Louise

I received a voicemail from this number, but I could barely understand the heavily accented message. I didn't get any clear information, so I will choose to ignore this call for safety.

C

I received a legitimate call regarding a recent Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) claim I submitted. The caller identified themselves as part of a multi-use assessment organization that works with various insurance companies, confirming that it was not a sales call.

W
Wisniewski

I received a call on Sunday morning, and the caller left a message claiming to be from AAMI regarding my claim and provided a reference number. However, when I contacted AAMI, they confirmed they had no record of me needing to call back, and the reference number was unrelated. It's alarming how they know about my claim!

D

A
Ameen

I received a legitimate call from Shannons Insurance, which is part of AAMI. This call came after I had a conversation with one of their representatives at a car show, where I inquired about insuring a vehicle. The call I received was from my local Shannons representative in Central Coast, NSW, as promised during our previous conversation.

L

A message instructed me to call Amy Insurance at 1300 0416 9185, but the unusual spelling and the nature of the message leads me to believe this could definitely be a scam.

P
Pullin

This was a legitimate call from my claims manager at AAMI, addressing a claim that is currently being processed on my behalf.

H
Hobby

I don't understand why this company continues to call me. They never leave a message, which is very frustrating.

E
Etherton

Appears as if this legitimate number is being hijacked by a dodgy “not at fault” recovery agent running an elaborate scam.

We received a call from some pretending to be from a related insurer asking for personal information of one our 'drivers' who was **supposedly** involved in an accident. This call was the 5th attempt to get us to hand over personal information. It appears to be part of a sophisticated scam to make a false claim against our insurance. They seem particularly keen on organising a hire car as a replacement vehicle, which is a well known tactic for 'not at fault' recovery agents whereby they charge insane rates for car hire while the vehicle involved in the accident is repaired.

J
Journey

This number has called me multiple times over the past week, with some calls being mere seconds apart. None of the calls rang long enough for me to pick up, which I find very frustrating and unprofessional, especially if they represent an insurance company.

B
Buchert

203434: I can confirm that this call was legitimate as it was related to a claim I had previously made.

B
Baily

This number belongs to a legitimate business, likely associated with Suncorp. However, many companies under this branding utilize the same outgoing dial-out number, which makes it easy for scammers to spoof their calls and potentially deceive recipients.

S
Still

The caller ID displayed Suncorp, but it was actually from GIO regarding a claim that is currently in progress. I later received a follow-up email confirming this, so I consider it a legitimate call.

L
Langham

I received a call from this number; my insurance claim was filed over six weeks ago. I'm unsure if it's them calling, especially since my claim isn't currently pending.

G

This number called me three times in a row. Since I don’t have any insurance, there was no valid reason for them to contact me. After the third call, I decided to block the number and looked it up on Reverse AU to see others’ experiences.

D
Dodson

The caller claimed to be from AAMI, much like previous reports. They requested my personal information, which felt suspicious since they initiated the call. I suspect this number might be spoofed, as it appears to be the genuine number for the insurance company, but I doubt it was actually them calling.

C
Callaghan

The caller identified themselves as a representative from GIO regarding a legitimate claim I have filed. Although they did not leave a voicemail, I received an email from them asking me to call back at my convenience to discuss my recovery progress.

S
Summer

I believe this number to be legitimate, as it is associated with AAMI, an established insurance provider in Australia.

C
Carpentier

I believe this call was legitimate. My husband had an accident with both of our cars in our own driveway last week (it’s a funny story, don’t ask!). This call was from GIO regarding our insurance claim. However, due to scammers being able to clone real numbers, I let it go to voicemail first to be sure, and it turned out to be genuine.

F
Festa

I received a legitimate call from this number regarding a claim I previously submitted, and they were providing follow-up information.

D
Ditzel

I received a legitimate call from AAMI. I verified the information they provided with my own online AAMI account, which confirmed their claim.

S
Sheen

The caller requested my personal details without providing any explanation for why they needed that information, making me suspicious.

H

Not a scam, this is actually Suncorp Insurance, I asked them to call me and they called from this number.
